She and Her? – Prologue: Dreaming Of You

    Prologue – Dreaming Of You

One of her soft and gentle arms is wrapped around my body and she nuzzles in the back of my neck. I let out a tiny moan. That feels good. She lets her hand travel from my shoulder, over my arm to my waist and then slips it over my stomach and holds me tight. When she begins to kiss my neck and shoulder, I feel myself floating away and suddenly, I’m lying alone, in my bed. I sigh and look at the white sealing. Why do I keep dreaming about her? Even though I didn’t see her face, I know who she was… Helena May Peabody. The beautiful British woman she couldn’t get off her mind for about four months.

Bette just couldn’t take her eyes off her. She had long, wavy, dark brown hair, pine green eyes and a bright smile that could light up the whole world. She was tall, lean and so, so beautiful.

Her personality could be described as dominant and stubborn but what most people didn’t get the chance to see was the kind and warm heart the woman possessed. She could be sweet and cute… but she could also be hard and cold. It was just about whether or not she felt vulnerable or not. If she did, she was a total and utter bitch but even then, Bette found her incredibly hot and sexy. That woman just had something.

She had not always liked Miss Peabody. Hell no. When she met Helena she found her an arrogant and spoiled brat. When that brat also ‘seduced’ her woman, she was furious. Both women could kill each other. When Tina got back together with Bette and dumped Helena, it got even worse but soon, the hate and despite for each other, faded away. When they both got to see glimpses of one another’s good sides, they slowly became friends; not best friends but… decent.

When Bette and Tina’s relationship went wrong again, Helena supported Bette more than Tina. While Tina had her happy life with Noah Brown and Noah’s son Joe, who everyone called Joey, Bette was left alone without anything. Tina had even taken their daughter, Angelina away from Bette who was then fighting to see her 2-year old again. Tina was so blinded by the hate she felt for Bette because the woman had cheated on her, which was why she left her in the first place, that she didn’t see how stupid it was to keep her daughter from seeing her other mother. Helena Peabody and Joyce Wischnia, Bette’s lawyer, had helped her to get her daughter back.

Through the three months it took to get Angelina back to Bette, she had grown close with the Brit and somewhere along the way; she had developed serious feelings for her. She couldn’t pin the exact moment but she knew that she had them, they were there. The kindness and compassion Helena had and could express was unbelievable and made Bette feel safe, like everything was going to be alright. The caring nature she had made Bette feel like she was finally where she should be… Home…

Now, Bette and Tina shared custody over their two-year old and were on good terms. You could describe their relationship as brief friends. Tina was still with Noah and seemed happy, no, she was happy.

Bette had always known Tina was bisexual, she just never thought Tina would go back to men, it made her feel like she did something wrong. Didn’t she love her enough? Off course, she made the big mistake of sleeping with Candace Jewel, but she had tried so hard to make that right again, to make it up to Tina but apparently, that didn’t make a difference because Tina never came back and would probably never come back either. Bette knew that she would always love Tina but she wasn’t in love with the mother of her child anymore. No, that had faded away when Tina took Angelina away from her. Never would she love that woman again. Her heart was now with Helena… Not that Helena knew it, Bette never showed that she was in love with her but she would tell her… someday.

    Comments

    1. Please continue, and I think Tina’s love for Bette faded away after she cheated. Cheating changes everything. It breaks a relationship and when you think you’ve got it all put back together, you can still see the cracks. Belena is cool with me, as long as you don’t write Tina crawling back to Bette. Let them live with their decisions, I’m all for Bette being happy with someone else. Just leave Tina alone.
