(Bette and Tina were writing up their first story. It was about a reported sighting of a UFO over Smallville. They were still not talking to each other, not in a personal capacity. Alice and Jodi were watching them closely)
Tina: You’re gonna have to talk to me

Bette: No I don’t

Tina: Bette please

Bette: Roof ten minutes

(Bette makes a move to leave her desk when Jodi comes running in)

Jodi: Porter, Kennard we’ve got a plane coming from Gotham with engine failure, it’s spirally towards the airport get to it

(Bette and Tina leave their desks quickly. Jodi had not heard Bette ask Tina to meet her on the roof. Tina knew she had to get away from Bette if she was to make her first appearance at SuperGirl)

Tina: Crap I forget my notebook, I’ll catch you up

(Bette doesn’t say anything just nods. Tina runs back toward the Daily Planet and enters an empty alleyway and changes into SuperGirl. Her flowing blonde hair and green eyes were back. She flies in the sky towards the out of control air plane)

Pilot: Mayday, mayday, mayday we have lost both engines and are losing altitude quickly

Control: We have up our on screens and have sent vehicles to intercept

(Bette arrives at the airport, it was swarming with reporters and Tina was no where to be seen. Up in the air. Tina spots the air-plane rapidly losing altitude and gaining speed.)

Co-pilot: We have a boggy and it’s coming up fast

(Tina knows she has to slow the plane down before she attempts to land it. She grips the left wing and pulls on it in an attempt to slow it down. She can feel the plane slowing but she can also feel the metal bending)

Control: What’s going on? We have an unidentified bogey on your right wing

Pilot: We don’t what it is but whatever it is it’s slowing us down

Control centre: What? How?

Pilot: I don’t know

(Tina hears the metal bending and realises the wing is going to break off due to the heat. The metal shatters and the wing flies backward taking Tina with it. Tina stops herself and quickly realises the plane is nearly at the airport and flies after it. She can see the airport and flies harder to get in front of the plane. She puts her hands on the nose and pushes against it)
