    Francesca and Bette had no doubt bonded for a lifetime friendship but the time had come for each to get on with her own life. For Francesca it meant returning to Italy to take control of her family’s art gallery. For Bette it meant moving out of Peggy’s mansion and building her life with her

    Francesca and Bette had no doubt bonded for a lifetime friendship but the time had come for each to get on with her own life. For Francesca it meant returning to Italy to take control of her family’s art gallery. For Bette it meant moving out of Peggy’s mansion and building her life with her family in their own home in West Hollywood.

    Francesca decided to spend a few weeks in New York visiting friends and tying up loose ends then fly home to Italy before Christmas. She would return to Los Angeles in the spring to attend the grand openings of Provocations at the CAC and the Side by Side Retrospective at the Hammer. By that time hopefully Bette and Tina’s relationship would be on firmer ground and more settled.

    After Francesca and Helena’s departure Bette, Tina and Alex moved to the West Hollywood house permanently. Kit also moved out of the Malibu mansion into a condo close to Bette and Tina’s so the elder Peabody was living on her own. Peggy missed having the family around all the time but Bette visited often with Alex. Peggy also spent more time with Martha Wentworth. The two matriarchs occupied themselves with the CAC, the Hammer Museum and other various projects. Martha provided companionship for Peggy and being with Peggy helped Martha to keep her mind off the situation with Kelly.

    During the time they’d lived together at Peggy’s, and once Douglas slackened his control over the kitchen Bette had taken cooking lessons from Helena so her culinary skills were vastly improved. This was very helpful once she moved back home and no longer had a live-in chef. On the evenings when Tina made it home for dinner Bette would have a home cooked meal waiting for her. Tina started a small organic garden of fruits and vegetables that Bette would eventually use to prepare meals for Alex once he started eating a more robust diet. Surprisingly Bette became quite the little homemaker and loved it. She made friends with other parents in the neighborhood, and had quite a social life around playdates and infant related outings.

    Tina’s work schedule still didn’t leave a lot of time for date nights and lovemaking which led to long dry spells for the couple. That’s not to say that they never had sex, and when they did it was mind blowing but the frequency and the importance of making intimacy a priority in their relationship had certainly taken a turn. Bette was accepting of the situation still not wanting to pressure Tina. They would eventually need to address their coupledom but for now she was focused on family and involving Tina in as much of the activities with Alex as possible. In the ensuing weeks and months they celebrated their first Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s in the West Hollywood home. Anyone on the outside looking in just saw a happy couple with their infant son and more often than not they assumed Tina was the birth mother.

    2. It was strange that such a short chapter from you. :-)
      Nevertheless, I liked it for several reasons. I’m very happy to finally Bette listen to Kit’s advice and she not danced sensual samba with Francesca.
      and it was in the time of departure Francesca, her relationship with Bette has become too tight and it wasn’t healthy for anyone.
      I continues to be concerned about Tina, she still confused and unable to set priorities in her life! I hope this changes over time. and I hope they are able to return a strong and solid foundation that they have developed in the cabin!

      • lipitora – I was surprised the chapter was so short also. I edited a lot but you are correct there was a lot of progression in the story. You will soon see what has Tina so confused. I want to get them to a good place so I will work on that as I continue to write the story. Thank you for reading and commenting.

      It was a wise decision from Francesca to move, but i am still worried about Bette’s and Tina’s relationship.

      Tina doesn’t seem to set her priorities right. I do hope you will not let her cheat with that terrible Kate woman.

      I’m Brazilian and was surprised to see that you use a popular expression correct with the proper accent.I know you could use google,but sometimes their translations are not that accurate.
      Happy to see that they moved out from Peggy’s house,and living as a proper family.Tina has to make time for this to work and stay away from Kate.
      Curious about the talk Bette and Tina were supposed to have before the dance contest,and if Tina talked about Kate’s sexual advances,subtle or not.

      • guiga – I did google the Samba danced solo. Thank you for letting me know it was correctly named. I didn’t write the conversation between Bette and Tina because it really didn’t change anything in their relationship before the dance. They still have work ahead but I want to keep them together so I will work hard to make it happen. The next chapter will get into Tina’s head a bit.

    6. Love your story and am happy that they are finally rid of Franscesa. Her clingy obsession with Bette was ridiculous. Tina had much more patience than I would have! Look forward to seeing how their relationship develops without her interference. Glad to see you posting again!

      I never liked Francesca, a wealthy which weighs raise her own child, but have time to keep glued to Bette.
      Bette feels she gave a gift? The gift was for her by chance.
      And of course all this is hard to Tina. Bette looks like the center of the universe and Tina another satellite. His boss and her friends, everything revolves around Bette.
      And Tina. Is the head of the study is not able to send away Kate?
