SOMETHING SO RIGHT
Chapter 38
Tina had spent the morning with her father – she had driven him around the city and because he had asked she had taken him to Phoenix Productions and showed him around. Not much about LA impressed him but he was a movie fan so he was fascinated to hear Tina speaking about what she did and the projects that she was involved in. Bette hadn’t been able to join them – thinking that Tina was spending the weekend away she had arranged to go into the gallery. She was going to join them as soon as she could. Tina wanted Bette and her father to get to know each other so she had been disappointed that Bette had been forced to leave them but equally she did want to spend time with her dad on her own.
Tina and her father stopped off for lunch in a bar that overlooked the sea.
“So tell me about Bette “ Niall said. He knew that it was going to be a interrogation when he got back to North Carolina and told Sarah – Tina’s mom the news. He didn’t think that she would mind that Tina was gay but she would want to know if Bette was good enough for her beloved daughter.
“She’s wonderful and we are happy “
“You think that I can just go home and tell your mother that ?”
“You could try “
“You are also going have to explain to her yourself why you told me and not her first “
“I wanted to tell you both together but unless I flew home and told you one weekend it wasn’t going to work like that. I did want to tell both of you but it just wasn’t possible and its not the sort of thing that you put in an email or you just say on the phone “
“Its funny but a couple of times you mother has come off the phone after talking to you and she’s said either that you are distracted or she thought that someone else was there “
Tina laughed “ Yeah – there have been more than one occasion when Bette’s been at the apartment with me. She tries to be quiet – she usually goes for a run or goes out to get the Sunday papers when mom rings “

Beautiful chapter, Tina’s father is such a sweet man and very understanding, Bette must work on her issues and stop thinking this way, they both deserve each other and happiness together.Have a wonderful weekend.And Happy Friday.

Yay, I absolutely adore this story. Loved Bette’s interaction with Tina’s father. And loved Tina’s interaction with her father. The whole family thing is such a part of the story.. and its wonderful to see it unfold.

I am thrilled with how well Tina’s Dad is taking to finding out about Bette. I am glad that he is showing how important Bette will be in the family since she is Tina’s love. Marvelous chapter, I can’t wait to read more.

When Bette sped up to 90, I was like: IS SHE CRAZY!?! But then I realized that it’s probably 90km/h not 90mph…..LOL!!!
