    Some wine and fun…

    Tina was sorting through some files from work when she heard Bettes doorbell ring. Puzzled, she jumped up through the mess of papers and peeked out the window. Opening the door she said, Hi Alice.

    Hey Tina. Whats up? Wheres your other half? Alice looked around, dropping her bag on the couch.

    Bette is out late tonight. Something about drinks with a possible new artist to show his work. So Im here working. Tina sighed, sliding down to the floor, brushing aside a strand of hair, falling out of her bun.

    Hmm… want company? Alice grinned.

    Depends. Tina looked suspicious. You look like youre up to something.

    Lets open a bottle of wine and start there.

    Ok.

    Alice watched Tina move with such ease in Bettes kitchen. She looked so natural, taking advantage of all the appliances and food Bette never had time for or the patience. Tina looked over at Alice and grinned, pointing to a bottle of merlot, and Alice nodded in approval, giving Tina a thumbs up signal. Tina turned back around to open the bottle and Alice noticed her back muscles grabbing each swift movement Tina made. It was then Alice realized how beautiful Tina was.

    Here. Tina handed Alice a glass and poured a generous amount in the glass, sitting down next to Alice on the couch, hugging her knees against her chest.

    So Tina… Alice studied her.

    Tina felt comfortable around Alice, although over the months they hadnt spent much time together alone. She always sensed a slight awkwardness around Alice, but she couldnt quite put her finger on it. She tended to think she needed to gain Alices approval, the best friend always being the last to completely approve of a significant other.

    Yes? Tina asked.

    I hear Bette gave you a copy of her keys.

    Yeah, she did. Its nice. A big step. Tina took a healthy drink of wine.

    You guys seem to be getting along pretty good. Are you happy?

    Of course Im happy. I dont think Ive ever felt so at ease in a relationship before. Bette fits perfectly in my life.

    2. I love Alice and Tina bonding while making fun of Bette. It is good for Bette to see herself as others do occasionally. Bette seems to be taking it well.

    6. Not going to say anything about our weather here,Except that the mailman looded so cute in shorts today. Glad that Tina and alice are bonding and making fun of Bette in a cut way,and that Bette took it as it was,to half drunk people that loves her thanks so much 5 stars.

    10. haha… lol.. loved this chapter so much. The bonding was portrayed well and the fact that neither is willing to spill. I could picture that it would be such a cute scene.
