    Bette surprises Tina at her apartment.

    Tina woke up early, unable to stop the thoughts in her head she couldnt fall back to sleep. She dragged her tired, hungover ass out of bed, pulled on her running gear, drank a tall glass of water, and went for a run in Central Park.

    Bette woke up with Jodi’s arm draped over her, she slipped out of bed, got dressed in a pair of jeans and yoga shirt, wrote a note that she was going for a walk and left it on her pillow. Bette found herself on a bench in Central Park, she watched the runners, dog walkers and couples with baby strollers go by. She felt guilty about kissing Tina. Technically she hadn’t cheated on Jodi and lord knows who Jodi could have dirty danced or kissed last night… Bette was having a hard time justifying kissing her ex and even more troubling was the fact that if she was honest with herself she didn’t really regret her actions.

    Bette couldn’t contain all the information she had recently learned about Tina. She took her phone out of her pocket and hit the speed dial, not caring that it was 6:00 a.m. in L.A.

    Alice heard Bette’s ring tone and reached over to her phone, quietly she answered so as not to wake Tasha.

    “Why the fuck didn’t you tell me that Tina dated Helena Peabody.”

    Hearing Bette’s histrionic tone, Alice got out of bed and stumbled into the living room and sat down on the couch.

    “Dated. Past tense. What would have been the point, Bette? Look how upset you are and they aren’t even together anymore. Jesus, couldn’t this wait until a decent hour?”

    “No. Do you know what shit has been going on here? Tina spends her time with a crazy gay baron and a straight girl who wants to have a kid with her, but won’t sleep with her! Tina willingly acts as bait for this women. Helena is lauded as being as sweet as southern iced tea! I thought you and Shane were her friends. Fuck this shit, Alice.”

    Alice moved to the kitchen and started a pot of coffee. She was going to need lots of coffee.

    1. Love your story! Great job…please post soon can’t wait for the next chapter….I think Tina’s trying to hide her true feeling for Bette. Why don’t you make her back to theraphy and see things clearer that deep down she loves Bette and always in love with her and follow Bette back to WeHo or make Bette catch the next plane to NY after she reach LA.     4. So happy to see this update, just last night I was wondering what happened to the story and here you are. Thanks for posting this chapter. I thought this chapter might end a little differently but I guess it has to go like this in order for them to see each other again. Jodi doesn’t know it but her relationship with Bette is now very much offically over. Bette will not be able to touch Jodi again for thoughts of Tina still ringing in her heart, mind, body and soul where they have just been tamped down, never far away from the surface of her mind. PPS

A little talk, a little get to know U again, maybe lunch, a little courting, flirting….etc. in other words…SEDUCE Tina Bette don’t push her in a corner…and don’t go home to Jodi/LA…make an excuse, go see Peggy, give T time to process with the therapist, send flowers, wine and truffles apologising for the hard out attack…c’mon Bette use your brain not your ? woo her back to you.     9. Dancing for joy that you were able to post an update! I am so hoping that real life slows down a bit so you are able to write more frequently. As for the chapter… I have to say that Bette really blew a primetime opportunity. Tina opened up to her (with a little alcohol on board) and told Bette that she is single and still trying to get over her. All she needed was a little more romance… and Bette appeared to be focused solely on her own needs. I was so disappointed that the chapter ended when it did – I wanted Bette to send a text message to Tina acknowledging that she came on too strong… Can’t wait to see where you take the story.

    13. I wondered where this story disappeared. It’s so good that we need more frequent posts. I love this push-and-pull of their relationship. They don’t realize the near perfection that they have. I miss seeing your posts on TWoP. I was banished from there for writing a comment that I didn’t agree w/some of the vitriolic comments on the site but to each her/his own. I think I said it’s a free country. I can’t figure out that site. Some folks write the most ridiculous comments and are so full of themselves but they let them keep posting. It doesn’t make sense. But if you can keep up w/this story it’ll make it all better. :-)

    16. that scene in the kitchen was all sorts of yum. i didn’t think Bette was so out of line– considering the night before both talking all night in the restaurant and the confessions in the cab and by text… Tina just turns her brains and other things to mush (mine too.) Good thing Tina needs to head to LA soon to see Jenny… :D

    17. Though I do believe Tina is hiding from her feelings from Bette, I am proud of her for saying no to Bette considering the circumstances. If Bette wants to reconnect with Tina she needs to do it without a relationship in the wings. Time for both of them to decide what they really want.

    22. I love this story every time it comes around. The adventures of B&T in NYC weren’t nearly so Madcap this time, were they? Tina has scruples, Bette doesn’t. It was gratifying to see Tina resist. Bette will have to make some choices and do some work to get her – if she really wants Tina back. Thanks!

    23. That didn’t really go so good. Perhaps they were going too fast, but now there’s that pesky continent in the way. Might the humble reader hope the author take some of her characters’ haste as her own and post more frequently?
