“So … were you just in the neighbourhood?” asked Jo,

“No … I came to see you …”

    “Really?”

    Lottie nodded, “Uh huh …”

Banjo began to whine, “and Banj of course …” Lottie added, patting his head affectionately,

Lottie thought of all the lines she’s knew, all three of them, not knowing if any of were right to use when standing on a girls doorstep, waiting for an invite in. She was desperate for it not to be Jo always making all the moves, wanting to try, wanting to find a non-clichéd line that didn’t sound in her head like it totally sucked,

Jo chuckled, watching the internal conflict that was written all over her face, knowing that no matter what crap she came out with she’d still not be leaving,

“Oh for fucksake … come in” said Jo, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her into the flat,

Lottie giggled, “I’m sorry … I’m bad at this,”

Jo slipped her fingers into the belt loops on Lottie’s jeans, pulling her even closer, “You’re not half as bad as you think you are …” she whispered, before placing a firm, slightly paint covered kiss on Lottie’s lips,

Lottie grinned, “Mmn … tastes like …”

    “Paint?” Jo finished for her,

Lottie checked again … “Yup … paint”

    Chapter Twenty-Six.

Bette rolled over in her sleep, landing firmly on Tina’s back,

Tina groaned, knowing that in a matter of seconds she would wake but in the next few moments, whilst she remained asleep, she would smother Tina’s body like a dead weight,

    “Babe …” urged Tina, “Babe?”

Bette mumbled, burying her head against the back of Tina’s neck as her mind slowly roused itself, her eyes flickered open and she stretched her legs, taking in the soft blonde curls which were tickling the end of her nose,

    “Mmn …”

She turned on to her back, stretching the entire length of the bed to iron out the kinks from her sleep,

    “Mmn … oooooohmnph …”

Tina chuckled at the sounds she was making as Bette screwed up her eyes against the filtered light, 6.55am … their alarm would go off in five minutes,

    1. sofa!you so deserve the nominations you received women, and you trully are a wonderful writer and we the fans love your stories and really feel lucky that you share them with us,and i wanted to say thank you for that.im glad lottie talk to bette maybe it can start happening more now.tina needs to make up with alice somehow.jo/lottie reminds be of tibette first time.wink keep up the great work lady, before school gets too heavy.lol p.p.s.

    2. You certainly deserve the nomination for this story. This was anothEr great chapter. I can understand Alice’s outburst, but she can’t be too surprised that thE gang would think it would strange for Lottie to live with her, or Kit for that matter. I totally forgot that Lottie planned on being her for a short-time. It seems her relationship with Jo is heating up and she is already thinking about making LA her home. It also looks like Angie will be following in Lottie and Bette’s footsteps. And the tormented Barbie is too funny. I never did like those dolls growing up! Nice cliffhanger and I can see why you said you’ll have a hard time with the next chapter. No worries about the TiBette interaction, we know its still there, but I like Jo and Lottie also. PPS.

    3. OMG the ending was so great I almost forgot about the Barbie comments. They were over the top! Tormenting Barbie is just too much. It made me remember my younger days of tormenting my sisters

    5. ok, that was….AB FAB. it really was. i only have to objections: 1. boxing reduces length in your torso and 2. carbs after 4pm. hehe, joking! ok, half joking. anyway, a friend once told me that desire was a good thing–this, after all of our mutual friends converted to buddhism and decided that desire was evil. what you did, was prove with this story that desire is fantabulous–lotti and jo’s struggles with wanting MORE more more of a good thing, are just so poignant and so well written that i could feel it as i read. as always, pps!

    6. Yeah, sofa, I know what you mean about the little sister thing. I’ve grown quite fond of Jo and Lottie, but at the same time, I feel a little like I should look away? It’s conflicting… kind of an “awww, they’re so cute!/whoa, that’s not cute, that’s hot!/wait a minute, this is *Lottie*, she’s not meant to be having S-E-X” dynamic going there. But that being said, I love the whole thing. I said it before, and I’ll say it again: every nom you got, you deserved. Thanks for the post, write when you can, sofa. [I won’t nag you to do the other thing you know you have to do. You know what I mean. *wags finger* ;) ] Cheers!

    7. With Lottie you see a young Bette Porter. You see her interact with others around her as I would think how Bette started out as. I wonder if Bette was like Lottie the first time she made love to a woman. They both hide their insecurities from others. In other ways Lottie reminds me of Tina with Bette being her first woman. Bette treated Tina with the utmost respect and it seems Jo is doing the same with Lottie. Watching Lottie is like watching Bette all over again.

    8. OMG no you didn’t stop there. I hope that they remember to turn the stove off because it would seem that it will be awhile before they return to the kitchen, and we don’t the place to catch on fire or for them to be destrubed by the smoke detector going off. GREAT chapter, PPS :o).

    9. Awwww… nice stuff coming…! I know what you mean about writing about “little sister” Lottie though… I’ll never get tired of this amazing B&T writing of yours… Don’t we all wish to wake up like that? That morning moment was so well done, thank you! Oh, and I think that this jealousy of Bette about the Alice/Lottie relationship is awfully cute! “She told *me*, not Alice…”… So cute! You’re planting the premices of a very sweet sisterly relationship between Bette and Lottie, and it’s working really well. That “talk” at the Gallery was a nice exemple of that, and it’s great to see Bette in that role. But the B/T relationship re
