Tina was in her office, using it for the first time. She had quickly understood that her new job was not much of an office one. It was made with contact and discussion. It was about the feeling you get with people, the way you made them feel safe and taken care of, more than it was about sitting behind an impressive desk.
But, for Marina, she would use the good old formal meeting. She had printed the company informations about Marina and the e-mail confirmation from Fabio ferrer’s office that future formally Mrs M. Ferrer did no longer have reasons to be treated differently from any of the Dubliner’s passengers.
There was a knock at the door. Tina was still getting used to all the formal protocole on board, so she didn’t really know what to do when she saw Steve, one of the stewards, point his head at the door.
« Mrs Ferrer to see you Miss Kennard. »
« Let her in, please, Steve. »
Marina entered and they shook hands.
« Mrs Ferrer, I believe you asked to see me, what do I owe the pleasure to? »
« Do I need a reason to meet up with a beautiful woman? »
« When this woman is here on her job and that her time has to be equally reparted between passengers I would say that you should. »
« Let’s say that it’s a matter of health then. »
« Health really? Would you care to explain it to me? Have a seat please. »
Tina got behind her desk and sat in the impressive black office chair. She was already getting annoyed at Marina’s I-m-so-irresistible attitude.
« See I seem to have caught this tropical disease while waiting for the Dubliner… »
« Cannes is hardly tropical Mrs Ferrer. Actually it’s quite the same climate than Milan where you usually stay… »
« So you took informations about me? I’m flattered! »
« You shouldn’t be. It’s my job to take informations about who i will be dealing with. Mrs Ferrer, as fun as it is to watch you try to seduce me as I have been warned you would, I actually have to talk to you. »
« You’re hurting me with that comment you know. But as you’re such a beautiful woman I’ll forgive you. What do you want to talk to me about? »
