Emily coos, ”Ohhh, I can’t wait.

“So who is this, “she ask turning her attention to Tasha.

”I’m Tasha an old friend, ”they shake hands.

“Pleased to meet you.”

“Well, I guess I’ll leave you two to some privacy.”

”Hey is Papi coming?”

“Yeah you know she has to make a grand entrance and she’s bringing some folks that girl’s always got an entourage.

“Cool and I’ll be in touch on getting you the money.”

”I told you don’t worry about it, but thanks and don’t run out of here all early and shit either, I know you.”

”I won’t, but play some stuff I can dance to, will ya.”

“Done…enjoy yourself.” Tasha comes over to where Alice, Dee and Chris are. She sits down and grabs Alice’s hand.

”I don’t think you need to worry about Simone dear.”

“Yeah.” Alice actually found herself having fun that night. As predicted when Papi came in she had quite a few people with her. They laughed and joked and Alice even persuaded Tasha to dance with her. They held each other close to a song Tasha remembered listening to in the late 90’s. She began singing in Alice’s ear like she did on the plane.

”You do know what that does to me.”

”I know.” Tasha pulled Alice close and ran her hands down her back. Alice kissed her neck.

”How long do you want to stay here?”

”Not long,” Tasha said pulling back and kissing Alice. When she broke the kiss Tasha pulled Alice back to her. When she lifted her head she saw Simone and Emily dancing close together. She smiled hoping Simone wouldn’t end up heartbroken and laid her head back on Alice’s shoulder. She kissed Alice’s neck, ”I’m ready to go.”

”Ok.” Before taking them back home, Tasha took them to a secluded spot. ”

What are we doing here?”

”I’m just giving us some private time. I like it out here. Come sit with me.” Tasha pulled her over to a grassy spot and sat against a tree with Alice between her legs. Tasha pushed her Alice’s hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek.

”You know I got an apartment with a bed?”

”Yeah I know but this is beautiful look up, “Alice did and she saw a clear sky filled with stars.
