    Just having some fun with my “Cure-all” characters… Light one-shot.

     

    That’s how it’s done!

     

    The Peabody mansion was quite crowded and buzzing with
    happy chattering on that warm evening of June. This was another of those fancy parties
    thrown by the business woman where family, friends, but also business partners
    and high profile personalities from the political, cultural and scientific
    scenes were mingling, chilling out and enjoying the nice summer night. At this
    late hour, most of the guests had gathered around the swimming pool where
    tables, chairs and loungers offered pleasant conversational spaces for some,
    while others had decided to cool off in the water that had fortunately been
    maintained at the perfect refreshing temperature, given the heat wave at the
    moment in Los Angeles.

     

    "Well, you’ve got yourself a keeper, Tina.” Alice
    exclaimed, approaching the group of her friends gathered around a table on one
    side of the pool, “Not that we didn’t already know that of course."

     

    "What are you talking about, Al?" The blonde
    asked, looking at her.

    "Well, see that chick over there, talking to Bette?" Alice replied,
    nodding toward the other side of the pool, "She has been spending the last
    twenty minutes drooling over your woman shamelessly, and drinking her every
    word. But I bet you that if you asked her, she could not recall a single word
    of the conversation, since she was far too busy undressing Bette with her
    eyes."

    "Was she, now?" Tina asked, chuckling in amusement and glancing
    toward the other side of the pool. Bette was indeed in deep conversation with a
    tall redhead wearing a very short and provocative dress whose cleavage left not
    much to the imagination. The woman’s body language told the blonde that Alice
    was spot on when she implied that the redhead was more interested in Bette’s anatomy
    than her scientific brain. Tina watched her partner for a few moments and smiled
    when she recognized her demeanor. Bette was obviously engrossed in a very
    serious explanation of some sort, and the blonde couldn’t help but smile fondly
    at her lover’s obvious lack of awareness of the situation.

    "Yeah…" Alice continued with a chuckle, "But it’s like Bette
    is totally blind or something. The woman has been flirting away and sending her
    huge ‘fuck me’ signals… Christ, even while I was there!” The blonde shook her
    head in disbelief, “Anyhow, you know how Bette goes all ‘professor’ when she is
    asked about her work?”

Your writing is absolutely exquisite. I don’t think I ever read such romantic stories in my life. I beg that you continue and soon. Not only with Cure All, but also with A Call to Her Arms.

OMG…see this so good and so mean at the same time ..for 3 reasons..one ..we miss you terribly and you give us a little snippet of why we miss you terribly…you write brilliantly, two this is an incredible tease..you have us hanging on your every word only to literrally close the door on something spectacular… and three you leave us with the expectation of a reprisal of another fantastic story of yours ‘the Call to her arms’ without comitting entirely. What is a girl to do to get you to come back full time….??? ;0) kxxxx

    21. Cure-All has always been one of my favorite stories, and one I go back to occasionally when I want to read a love story based on a really strong and very well written STORY. Your writing has truly been missed and this mischievously sexy addition is the perfect reason why!! Thank you!!!
