That’s What She said

Finishing up her morning run, Dana arrived at the Planet and looked around to spot her friends. She heard them before she saw them, their laughter filling the Cafe’ with a sound that was by far one of the athlete’s favorites.

Walking over to the duo, Dana placed a kiss on the top of her girlfriend’s head before sitting down.

"Hey guys."

"Morning Dana," Shane greeted her breathing returning back to normal.

"Morning, baby. How was your run," Alice greeted?

"It was really good. I ran an extra mile. It felt like I could keep going for hours," the athlete replied taking a drink of water.

"That’s what she said," Alice added causing both her and Shane to chuckle.

"Yeah…" Dana said titling her head wondering what her friends found to be so amusing. "That’s what I said."

This caused Alice and Shane’s chuckles to become full on laughter.

"Anyway," Dana said trying to change the subject since she didn’t understand what was so funny. "You know the extra books and stuff you wanted to take on in your carry on but wouldn’t fit? Well I figure I’ll just borrow some of your stuff and we can put it in my carry on. I think we can fit it all in."

"That’s what she said," Shane snickered, sending both her and Alice into another fit of laughter, leaving Dana confused, again, and a little pissed off.

Noticing the look on her girlfriend’s face, Alice leaned over saying, "Oh baby, we aren’t laughing at you," before giving the brunette a kiss on the lips. "It’s a joke."

"Yeah Dane, what you do is add ‘that’s what she said’ after someone makes a statement," Shane explained.

Dana shook her head in confusion, "and that is funny how?"

"You know you are so fucking cute when you are befuddled," Alice said kissing her goofy Dana again, only to have the athlete pull her over so the blonde was now situated on her lap.

"Here let’s give you an example," Shane said taking a drink of her coffee. "Mmm, this tastes good."

"And then you say," Alice prompted Dana.
