    Tina gets a call and Alpha Bette is back… Oh and… theres a side of Eric we haven’t seen before :S a Bette and Tina beginning

    Its Bettes birthday Saturday Alice said

     

    *She hasnt mentioned that at all..*

     

    Youve gotta be there Alice looked at me curiously when I started to stammer…

     

    But… really… We dont… I mean… She hasnt mentioned anything

     

    Alice turned around in her chair and put her hand on my shoulder

     

    Shell want you to be there… Trust me… I know Bette She said.

     

    She saw me hesitate You can bring hubb… I mean… your boyfriend over if you like?

     

    I thought about it and suddenly remembered No… Its Erics pokernight Saturday

     

    *Oh come on… I will be bored to death there… Big decision… Be bored to death at Erics stupid pokernight or be with Bette…*

     

    Sounding more sure of myself then I felt I answered:

     

    Ill Be there Al, heres my phonenumbre, give me a call

     

    I saw her eyes light up Great! Ill call you about the place and time! She shouted through the carwindow, pulling off

     

    And seeing her little blue car dissappear in traffic I felt the heavy feeling I had had since I left the gallery leave me…

     

    I felt a big smile appear on my face when I softly whispered

     

    I am going to see her again… I am!

    Chapter 17

     

     

    Bette:

     

    *How could you be so stupid Porter? STUPID!*

     

    If youre wondering why I was talking so harshly to myself… For starters I had forgotten to ask Tina to come to my birthday.. That would have been the perfect opportunity to see her again. Now I… Bette Porter… The alphafemale was too afraid to call her and invite her… I mean.. The party was tomorrow… She wouldnt be able to be there anyway… Would she?

    The other thing I couldnt stop thinking about was the way I had treated my halfsister Kit… I could hear the harsh words I had said to her in my head all over again:

     

    Well, Kit… Its great to see you again. But Im here with my friends, and really…. I dont feel like being embarrased right now… But when I do… Its great to know where to find you!
