Bette smiled broadly, soaking in the blonde’s words. Tina watched as it touched her eyes, making her weak as she smiled in response.
“What?”
“You said make love.”
Tina’s brow furrowed, not realizing the significance of her words.
“Any other time you’ve talked about it you’ve always said fuck or something equally meaningful,” the brunette said, an edge of sarcasm in her voice. “I guess I just like you saying it like it’s something more.” Bette shrugged almost shyly. She wasn’t used to being vulnerable like this with anyone, but the blonde’s fierce need to close herself off gave the brunette few options.
She was still determined to show Tina that she was trustworthy, for her to see what was becoming so obvious to her: that they fit together.
“It is more. Much more,” the blonde confessed, pulling Bette in for a tender kiss. She tucked the brunette’s head under her chin, softly playing with the curls, feeling the way they fit together.
“Tina? I know you didn’t ask me, but I’m not sleeping with anyone else. I know you aren’t ready, but I want you to know that I want to be with you. I know you’re scared, but you can feel safe with me. I’ll prove it to you.”
The whispered words washed over the blonde, her eyes flooding with tears that spilled over involuntarily. She tightened her hold on the brunette, falling a little deeper for the beautiful woman who she was certain had stolen her heart.
Bette stretched, blindly reaching out for Tina and frowned when she couldn’t feel her warmth. She pried her eyes open and furrowed her brow finding the other side of the bed empty. She looked at the bedside clock and saw that it was a little after six am.
She looked down and saw that she was wearing the blonde’s t-shirt from the night before, remembering that in the middle of the night she had shivered, and Tina had grabbed it for her.
The smell of bacon wafted through the house, a smile taking over her face as she stretched and then yawned. Tina walked into the bedroom as Bette rubbed her eyes, looking adorably confused.
“Good morning Beautiful,” the blonde said, her voice giving off more confidence than she felt.

Wonderful update. They are truly in love with each other and Bette has to be the one to say it first and she just might be surprised that it will not scare Tina away. Tina wants to be there with her all the time. Thanks for posting.
you know I was feeling crappy the whole day and this chapter took away whatever I was feeling.
I love how Tina took care of Bette. Whether or not she’s ready to hear Bette’s confession of love I think Tina is feeling the same way.
