Tina joined Alice and Shane at the table; the two of them were having a debate about the legitimacy of bisexuality. Alice was a self-proclaimed bisexual whereas Shane, who thoroughly enjoyed the ladies and the ladies only, loved to tease her friend about her duality. The banter was light in nature, the conversation friendly but Alice, ever the conversationalist, loved to debate and discuss the issue at hand.
Tina couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the irony of the topic, knowing full well that the current object of her desire was going to be joining them soon.
‘Object of my desire? I have to snap out of this. I’m nothing but a conquest for her. She just wants to prove that she can get to me. And what about Eric? He just brought up being exclusive with me last night, again. I can’t keep avoiding the discussion. But her mouth. God, her mouth.’
Tina shook her head, trying to clear herself of the thoughts invading her mind. As if on cue, Bette emerged from the bathroom, catching Tina’s eye as she slowly made her way over. Tina kept her gaze inadvertent; she could see the eager reluctance in Bette’s body language as her own thoughts ran amuck. Confusion and desire were at the forefront of the blonde’s mind.
What the hell had just happened? One moment they’re bantering back and forth, the next they’re kissing in the bathroom. That kiss. Tina’s lips still tingled from that simple touch that was anything but.
“…but that’s my point Shane. Sexuality can be fluid. I don’t think it’s as easy as you’re born gay or straight anymore,” said Alice, snapping Tina back into the present.
“Hold up, so you’re saying it’s a choice?” Shane couldn’t help but scoff at Alice’s statement.
“No! I think that some people are born with the capability or rather inclination to love either sex. It’s just a matter of whether or not they meet that person of the same sex or if they never go out of their comfort zone. And I think that people are of course born gay or straight; I just believe that another category needs to be added: bisexual. Bette, what do you think?” asked Alice as Bette had sat down in the empty chair next to Tina’s.

That phone call, though diabolically timed, was perhaps a good thing. Bette’s going to need to be patient in the face of Tina’s confusion. I really like how you’re writing this story. Thanks for posting! :)
Bette needs to be just a little bit more patient with Tina. Tina needs to get a grip on her own feelings.
I felt like a voyeur reading that heavy make-out scene. That phone call was what they needed to slow things down and as much as Bette wants Tina, she needs to give her the time and space to come to terms about her sexuality. Thanks for the update. Looking forward for more.
