The next morning, Tina is on time and by her desk with 30 minutes to spare. She hoped that Bette would be there, but she didn’t see her in her office. She logs on and checks her mail and there her working tasks for today are written up. She prints it out and walks to the printer to get the copy. She decides to take a trip to the bathroom at the same time. In there she meets Bette, splashing water on her face.
“Hi, you’re still here?” Tina asks.
Bette jumps up, she didn’t hear Tina walk in.
“Oh, hi. Yeah, I’ve slept a couple of hours in my office, just waking up now.” Bette says and dries up her face before she give Tina a smile.
“Okay, so you got some rest at least.” Tina says and smiles back.
“Yes, I did.” Bette replies. “You’re here early.” She adds.
“Yeah, It’s quiet here that half hour between 7:30 and 8. I like it here then. Mostly just the summing from the computers.” Tina says and smiles. She also hoped that Bette would be there, but she didn’t dare to say it. Bette smiles.
“I’m sorry we had to cut last night short.” Bette says after a few moments.
“Me too, but your work is important. We’ll do it again and that time, hopefully without any interruptions.” Tina says.
“I hope so.” Bette replies. “I’m going to the kitchen, you want anything?” Bette asks.
“I’ll join you, I just have to use the bathroom first. I’ll meet you there.” Tina says and smiles.
“Okay.” Bette says and walks out.
Tina quickly does her thing and then hurries in a slow pace into the kitchen where Bette is making coffee.
“You want coffee or tea?” Bette asks.
“I’ll take coffee.” Tina replies. “Thank you.” Tina says after Bette gives her a cup. “You look tired.” Tina says.
“Yeah, I am tired. I think I’ll go home a little earlier today.” Bette says and takes a sip of her coffee.
“Yeah.” Tina says and smiles as she also takes a sip from her coffee.
“Let’s go and get to work.” Bette says.
“Yeah.” Tina replies. They bring their coffee and walks to their desks.

Okay who the hell gave this a 1 star and didn’t have the balls (or ovaries, whatever) to leave a comment? Anyway, I think Bette did the right thing telling her boss instead of sneaking around. Please continue!

Bette has one smart boss and can see the writing on the wall and the twinkle in Bettes eye. Nice chapter. Can’t wait for the date.

Sometimes you have to take that leap of faith and Bette is doing that not only with Tina but by going to her boss. Is her boss wanting Bette to transfer or does he just know that Bette will leave to be with Tina? Thanks for the post.
