Even though they were dining in the privacy of the suite they still had a full service menu and wine list. Bette selected the wine and a sampler appetizer dish. While the server left to place their order they made the choices for entrée and dessert. They were left alone between courses so they could eat and talk privately. The server would knock discreetly each time he entered the room to remove dishes or to bring in the next course. Both Bette and Tina were impressed with the speed and efficiency with which he served and attended to them. The meal was exquisite and satisfying on all levels.

The Royal Suite amenities were what you’d expect at a posh resort hotel. California King sized bed in a separate bedroom. Kitchenette with a stovetop; a well-appointed bathroom with enclosed shower and in-room hot tub. Living room with sofa, recliner, coffee table and flat screen TV. Work area with computer, and an IPod with mood music already programed.

“T this is so perfect. I thought you’d never been to Catalina Island. How did you arrange such a magnificent date for us?”

“I had my assistant in California do some leg work for me. She put together some options and I made the final selections. Did you really enjoy yourself today babe?”

“I thoroughly enjoyed it from the moment I opened my eyes and saw you at the bedroom door carrying the breakfast tray. I loved our lazy morning cuddling and talking. The bicycle built for two was genius; so much better than riding individual bikes. We would not have been able to have a conversation without running into something or someone. We made a great team with you peddling and me steering and then switching off.”

“That was fun … I rather enjoyed that too. Lunch was great. I loved hearing about your passion and why you decided to become a plastic surgeon. I’ve given a lot of thought to the mission trips and traveling with you around the world. I want to do it babe for you and for me. I’m really excited about the idea of chronicling it with my photographs. I was thinking I might publish them in a book instead of just exhibiting in a gallery. We could donate the monies from the sales to the organization. We could possibly take it a step further and maybe Kennard Studios can put together a team to do a documentary. We have a documentarian on staff Dylan Mooreland that I think would be perfect to take on the project.”
