    The Elles part 5

    Previously…

"C’mon we got fifteen minutes to make our bus and the Diesel Dykes are prowling the streets so we have to make it. Let’s move."

    Behind a Parked Car

"When are we gonna move again? My legs hurt from all this crouching!", whined Dana. "You got one more time, Dana. One more time until throw your ass out there and let the Dykes take you home to motor oil and a house full of mean cats. You got me?", said Kit in stern a voice. "Yes, ma’am", came Dana’s weak reply. Here they were; 400 feet away from their ticket home. Granted it was coach, but it was a ticket home. The bus sat at the corner, the bus driver was finishing up their break and the only thing that stood in their way was a group of Diesel Dyke patroling the street in a beat up truck. "Just wait until they circle back the other way. When they do we’ll make a run for the side of that store and then to the bus," said Bette. "C’mon, we know you’re out here. We can smell the lattes on your breath. Just give up and I swear we’ll go easy on you", said a Dyke followed by laughter from the rest of the crowd. "Make sure you guys stay quiet, they’re coming this way", said Shane in hushed tone. All she wanted was to get home and pretend this never happened. That and maybe bring home a girl or two. Hell maybe three. Yeah, that would be pretty awesome. The rest of The Elles watched as a goofy placed itself on Shanes face as her eyes glazed over. Just as Shane left the engine of the truck could be heard. "Alright, guys. Be ready.", warned Tasha. "You, know I heard Dana Fairbanks was an Elle", said one Dyke to another. "Really?" "Yeah and if she fights like she plays, getting her will be a piece of cake. She’s the worst tennis player I’ve seen in my life!" "I AM NOT!!!" There are times in life when it is best to stay quite. In a library, when a friend has a bad haircut. When a lesbian gang is trying to capture you and do God knows what to you in several different ways. Apparently Dana didn’t get the memo. The truck came to a halt in front of the car that the The Elles were currently trying to pretend they were invisible behind. "I hate you, Dana", said Kit, turning towards Dana. "Run, run now. Move NOW!" screamed Bette, sprinting toward the bus. The truck’s engine roared to life and chased The Elles as the ran for their lives.
