Bette and Tina had arranged to meet Alice and Dana for coffee a few days after their night out. When they arrived at the cafe they found Alice and Dana already laughing at a table.

“Hey guys” Tina smiled.

“So you made it out of bed, then?” Alice joked.

“Ha ha Al” Bette rolled her eyes.

Dana just smiled. She already felt comfortable with these women – she felt she didn’t have to hide anything when she was with them. Tina sat down and kissed Dana on the cheek while Bette headed for the counter.

“Two lattes” she said to the waitress.

“Shot of espresso” she heard the husky voice to her left.

“Shane!” Bette turned and smiled.

“Morning”

Shane took her shot from the waitress and downed it “that’s better, now how you doing, Bette?”

“Great thanks, and you?”

“Fine now I’ve had my morning shot” Shane grinned and ran her hand through her hair.

“Tina and our other friends are over there, you wanna join us?”

“Yeah, why not. I have nowhere else to be for a while”

Bette collected her and Tina’s coffees and her and Shane made their way to the table.

“Look who I found”

“Shane, hey” Tina smiled and pulled up an extra chair.

“Shane, meet Alice and Dana” Bette indicated her friends.

“It’s a pleasure” Shane smiled.

“Hold on, you’re not Shane McCutcheon are you?” Alice enquired.

“The one and only”

“I see”

“I fear my reputation preceeds me”

“Just a little. Guys, this woman is like the biggest ***** stud in LA, make that the country”

“Oh really?” Bette raised an eyebrow.

“I still wasn’t hitting on your woman” Shane protested.

Bette laughed “I believe you”

Dana just sat there in awe. These women talked about their sexuality so freely, something that Dana had yet to experience. Shane and Alice were deep in conversation as they’d discovered Shane had slept with one of Alice’s exes and they were comparing notes. Bette and Tina were still all lovey dovey, and in a lot of ways Dana was jealous. Not of them in particular, but of anyone who had that good a relationship.

“You know, a friend of mine is throwing a party tomorrow night. Strictly women only. You guys should come” Shane suggested.

“Count me in” Alice rubbed her hands together.

“I’m up for that, T?” Bette turned to Tina.

“Sure” Tina smiled at Shane.

“Dana?” Shane asked, and everyone turned to look at the tennis player.

“*****, why not?” Dana grinned.

“Great, well here’s my cell number” she scribbled the number on a napkin and handed it to Bette “call me tomorrow for directions”

“Will do, thanks” Bette took the napkin.

Shane left to a chorus of goodbyes.

“Wow” was all Alice could say.

“Isn’t she something?” Tina smiled at the others.

“She really is” Bette took Tina’s hand for security.

“She’s incredible” Dana breathed, the first time she’d spoken without being directly addressed.

“Does our little Dana have a crush on the stud?” Alice teased.

“I do not” Dana blushed.

“Uh huh. And I have no interest in gossip” Alice folded her arms.

They all smiled seperately, each wondering what the ***** to expect from a party thrown by a friend of the infamous Shane McCutcheon.
