Dana reluctantly released Alice to be wrapped up in a big hug by Harrison as Shane hugged Dana. Brad and the medical team did a quick survey of both women. He determined they were well enough to chopper over to the hospital. After giving the women ice packs for their obvious bruises, most of the group headed out to the hospital. Tasha stayed behind with a hand-picked security team to clean up things in the warehouse.
The helicopter arrived quickly at the private hospital which had been prepared for the arrival. Security was very tight and the women were escorted quickly to an exam room and changed into gowns. Brad’s medical team immediately sprang into action. They assessed Alice and Dana’s injuries (mostly cuts and bruises) and started lab tests. Harrison waited just outside the room. Sam and Shane stayed inside.
The adrenaline was finally wearing off for both Alice and Dana and they were getting cranky and stubborn. They both wanted to just curl up somewhere and sleep.
Dana refused to have stitches on her ear until she got a stern look from Alice. Dana gave her own look when Alice refused to get an x-ray on her bruised side which caused the other woman to relent.
When both women refused to get IVs for re-hydration, Sam hit the roof.
“Listen, ladies.” She said quietly but with complete authority. “Brad is the doctor here and you will do whatever he thinks is best.” She paused and proceeded in a much quieter voice. “We have been worried absolutely sick about you both. And making sure you are 100% healthy is as much for us as it is for you.” Dana and Alice both looked contrite and from that point on, didn’t refuse any treatment.
Brad had a fight on his hands from all sides a short while later. Everyone wanted to head back to the island as soon as possible. The plane was ready and could take off within the hour. Both Alice and Dana needed rest, but otherwise looked fine.
“Believe me. I want nothing more than to get everyone home. But the tox screen shows they still have some of the drug in their systems. The medical services on the island are excellent, but, I can not say the same for the plane. I want us to stay here overnight until I get a clean tox screen.”

I appreciate your update in the midst of your cold and all. Hope you get well soon. Another excellent chapter. I almost forgot A was just as savvy with her ninja skills. Nice moves! And A thought she failed D, that was quite a touching moment. And I have to laugh at the fact that they were equally stubborn. I hope this is the end of the ordeal. You did not mention if Nadia had kicked the bucket. If she was still alive, I want to know the punishment they would get. Jail may be too lenient for them. How about some hard labor in an African jungle or the Arctics? lol. Also like the last scene with Shane and Harrison. Thank you so very much!!!

too cute. thank goodness they are safe now and that ordeal in the warehouse wasn’t several chapters long. don’t know if i could have taken that. i love the question to yourself in the description line. funny stuff – magoose. it is cute that shane and harrison slept in the next bed. dana and alice will laugh when they wake up.
