Chapter 12
Day 5. San Francisco Airport. San Francisco.
Tina picked up her bags from the carousel at walked outside to find a cab. She would still have a couple of hours to herself at home before Sam got back from work. She hoped it would be enough time. She switched to planning mode and started to make lists in her head while the cab sped through the familiar streets to take her home.
Day 5. Tina and Sam’s Apartment. San Francisco.
Once inside her apartment, Tina surveyed the place she was going to be saying goodbye to. She threw all the clothes from her bags into the washing machine and unpacked all of the other items. She had picked up some boxes on her way and sat down to make them up and tape them.
With a heavy heart she headed to the master bedroom. Working as fast as she could, she began to move all her belongings into boxes and put them in the guest room. She emptied the wardrobe first, sorting through hers and Sam’s clothes and shoes. Then she moved to the dressing table, dividing the various tubes of make up, concealers, moisturisers and lipstick. She started on her bedside table then decided it would be easier to just pick the whole thing up and move it to the guest room. She returned to the master bedroom and pulled out the boxes under the bed where they kept their photo albums, old cards and letters. She barely realised that she was sobbing until drops fell onto the letter in her hand. She decided she needed a break.
She grabbed a beer from the fridge and collapsed onto the lounge to drink it. She surveyed the room, mentally listing which items were hers and which they had bought together. They had already given notice to the landlord, but since there was still 6 weeks left and he had not shown anyone the place yet she hoped they would be able to sort out the lease on the apartment. It reminded her or all the other things they had cancelled that would need to be looked into… the most important of course being Sam’s job. She desperately hoped Sam’s reputation and skills would ensure she could get her contract back. Now her head spun from thinking about the details; break was over, back to work.

First, thanks a lot, tibetteporter, for the 12-chapter blast! That was some rapid-fire posting, girl! A dozen chapters in less than 24 hours. Wow! It’s got to be some kind of record here. Anyway, have to confess though that it took me 4 chapters I think to warm up to the story. Sorry, I hardly read the first two because my mind found it hard to process Bette & Alice in NC-17 chapters. It was even tougher to imagine that possibility than JoBette, who I think is the poster couple of people who don’t make sense as a couple. Go figure. I wholeheartedly agree with Bette. They don’t fit and she should have broken up with her weeks ago. They make better sense as friends. Anyway, I’m curious where you’ll take this story. My heart goes out to Alice and Sam but I also think that Bette and Tina made the right decision to break up with them. They’d really regret it if they don’t explore how they can build a relationship from their connection and mutual attraction. I don’t think they’ll make it another week without each other. I bet Bette will move heaven and earth to fly to SFO in the coming weekend. Thanks again, tibetteporter! Imo, you’re doing a good job so far. PPS :>
Sam was a whole bunch more understanding than I would have been. Maybe Tina overestimated the love that she thought Sam had for her? I love your frequent posts. It makes it much easier to keep up w/the story line.
Yay, new post! I don’t think it’ll be long before either Bette goes up to SF or Tina gets herself down to LA… I’m glad Sam took the break-up well. I hope Alice is okay with it all, eventually, and doesn’t give Bette or Tina too hard a time or exclude them… This is great, tibettep, thanks for the new post.
Wow! 12 chapters all at once. I read the first post and skiped the next few to chapter 5 I love Alice but her and Bette being intimate just bothers me. I am glad that B&T decided to get thier relationships under control before they got too involved with each other. It was sad for Alice but I’m sure she could see that she and Bette were not a match made in heaven. I mean sex was good but they were so much better as friends. Sam I thought would be a little more upset being as she was going to give up her whole life to be with Tina in another state, but, I guess she could also see that she and Tina would not make it in the long run. Alice will probably be very upset and angry when she finds out B&T are dating, but when she sees them together she will see it was the right thing for her and Bette to end things before they ended up not even able to be friends. I am sure Al and Tina will go through a rough patch but the realization that B&T did not become intimate until after they had both broken it off with thier girlfriends has to count for something. PPS

yeah, well if u wanted my take on it; my mind went to tina arriving home to sam, realising that she ‘really’ loved her and that bette was just a flirtation, ringing bette and telling her NO go!!! that would have frustrated our brunette no end…then we coulda watched see how she dealt with rejection…and how she chased tina; Lol, just my devious mind. pps
Lets see how long it will take for Bette to be on a plane. Have a good week-end and will look for a post Monday. thanks

WOW, This is an amazing story. It takes u thru an array of feelings. U can feel the chemistry between B & T. But, I hate the circumstances of their hooking up. I can’t even begin to guess how u will navagate their relationship & friendship with Alice. You have started one hell of a tale, and i’m HOOKED.
Enjoy your weekend — after posting 12 consecutive chapters, you definitely deserve a break! I’m shocked that Sam took it so well but relieved as well. I fully expect Tina to find a way to move to LA sooner than expected — it’s going to be way too uncomfortable sharing the same space with Sam. My guess is that Bette’s on a flight to San Fran by NEXT weekend. These two aren’t going to be able to hold out!
Just read all of the chapters! Great story and I love the frequent posts. You spoiled us, cause you know that’s what we will expect from here on out. Can’t wait til Bette and Tina are back together and I hope Alice doesn’t cause a big stink! PPS
