Chapter 18
8pm. Day 15. San Francisco Airport.
“This weekend was worth the wait Ms Porter” Tina tried to smile as she pulled the brunette close to her.
“Come with me” Bette whispered into Tina’s ear. Tina smiled, ran her fingers through Bette’s hair and placed kisses on her neck.
“3 weeks baby”
“Tee, the first 2 were torture, and… now that I know what I’ve been missing…” Bette grinned as she allowed her eyes to roam over the blonde’s body. Tina laughed but also found herself being turned on my Bette’s obvious arousal. Bette’s voice broke through Tina’s reverie.
“I know you’re going to be busy… and I know you’re working weekends, and I know it’s so you can come to LA faster, and believe, I want that more than anything…”
Tina smiled as Bette spoke to the floor, nervously transferring her weight from one foot to another, she decided to put her out of her misery.
“I’m sorry I can’t come visit… I really do want to, and I would love to have you come visit again”
Bette’s smile at Tina’s words made the blonde’s stomach flutter. How was she going to go 3 days let alone 3 weeks without this woman?
“I’ll be back on Friday then… if you’re sure?” Bette’s insecurity still visible.
“I can’t wait baby” Tina pulled at Bette’s waist, bringing her close and planting a slow lingering kiss on the brunette’s lips.
In the 40 hours since their confessions of love in the early hours of Saturday morning, neither had said the words again. Bette’s heart sang at hearing Tina say those words. Bette herself had never said them before, and never had them said to her. she had been intensively afraid of saying them to Tina, and was proud that she had come away from their discussion and said them anyway. But now that they were out there, she didn’t want to be the person who said them first again. She needed to hear them again, not in the throes of passion, not when they were naked and sweaty, and not as a response to her saying them. Tina hadn’t said those words again either, she had said them to others before, and had them said to her, but the breakdown of hers and Sam’s relationship, where those same words had been exchanged, left her feeling jaded about the verbalising of words. She wanted to feel loved, she wanted to be in love, she didn’t think the words could mean as much as the actions. But she could also see Bette was feeling lost in this new world of relationships and emotions. She needed reassurance and Tina wanted to give them to her. but she wanted to make sure she wasn’t saying the words for Bette’s sake, but that she meant them in her own heart. She did not want to take the saying and hearing of these words for granted. They were 3 little words, pure in meaning and depth. She wanted to honour them and hold them close in the same breath as she set them free.

now don’t let bette go all crazy… she is still friends with alice, why can’t tina still be friends with sam… i do hope your writing… PPS
Oh my as the sheesh hits the fan, boy Tina is in so much trouble for not telling Bette that she was having dinner with Sam. It means nothing but Bette is a very jealous type. I would not want to be Tina right now. Post when you can.
Holy crap! Not what Bette wanted to hear but at least Tina was being honest. and why is Tina over at Sam’s anyway?? PPS:)

Oh God please don’t send her back to L.A, it’s really early for them to fight, they have so many things to do and stages to go through before they start fighting. I love this story, and the way you write it, good luck at school, and post whenever you have the chance to.Love

Oh, you’re killing me. The whispered “I love you” at the airport just made me melt. Tina simply must work faster – these two aren’t going to make it apart. Oh this is not good. Bette goes all the way to SF to be with her lover only to find out lover is spending time with ex-lover. I don’t think it would have been that bad if Bette was in LA and not in SF.

Good luck on your exams I hope you do well. School always comes before pleasure ;) Bette should appreciate the fact that Tina didn’t lie about who she was with. I know she is insecure about relationships but she needs to stop and think before jumping to conclusions. Post as soon as you can.
