The L Wing chp 90
Tina nods and logs off her computer. We leave her office and she does something I do not think that she has ever done before in the office. She slips an arm around my waist – I put mine around her shoulder and we go upstairs together. We have a lot of talking to do – I just know that I love her so much and that she loves me that we will find a way of working this out

Narration of Tina Kennard.
I am a jumble of emotions – full of love for Bette but she also hurt me this morning by her lack of support. I did not deserve to be set up in Senior Staff – I know that she was ambushed as well. But she could have torn the others off in front of me – not leaving it in private during a cosy chat with Shane.
I maybe hurt by Bette but the others have really gone down in my estimation – I had expected better from Alice and Shane.
We reach our quarters and I go to pour myself at large drink – I turn with my drink and Bette is looking at me.
“So I get my own drinks now ? “
“Yes – up here we are equal “
Bette looks hurt – I know that was not fair but I am not feeling very fair today. Bette pours herself a large Southern Comfort – adds a mixer and collapses on the sofa. I sit in my favourite chair opposite her. I also know that not sitting beside her is not my usual behaviour when we finish work.
“Tina — I had no idea what they were planning – you believe me ? “
“Yes — but you are the damn President — no one should hijack you like they did – whose freaking bright idea was it ? “
“ I have no idea “
“So – do you agree with them ? “
“What do you mean ? “
“That I cannot be First Lady and run the campaign and when the election is won “
“I don’t know – I think you are an incredible political brain – and I need you by my side. But “

when this story first began i said that a whipped president will be running the country, i didnt lie. tina has whipped the president u do t.

Seeing two strong women together like that was just amazing. They really will have to learn to compromise. someone will always have to give in a little. Great story.
That was sexy but I really liked what Bette said to Tina,”And you need to stop being so fucking sensitive . I support you totally and if I didn’t I would tell you. I didn’t get to be President by accident. You may be smart but I’m smarter — you may be good but I’m brilliant. I love you and I want to spend my life with you. Stop acting like some freaking schoolgirl — this is hardball. You don’t just have to be as good as a male politician — you have to be better. I am not just as good as any other male democrat – I have to be better and I have to be seen to be better ” This shows that has some cujones and won’t be pwhupped when it really matters like affairs of state. Tina needed to hear that as much as Bette needed to say it. Bette was getting too soft.

i loved bette’s speech to Tina. maybe she needs to give a similar speech to her staff, especially shane. they must know that Bette is not weak just because she is in love.
Okay now Ally you are just not playing fair. Yesterday in your final chapter of the Gift you had me laughing and then crying, and now in this chapter WOW a whole different sort of wetness. You can write anything and make your readers feel each and every emotion. I bow down to your greatness.

Loved, loved, loved their argument! Bette so needed to put Tina in her place and I think she did that by making her speech about having to be a better politician than any male politician. Your writing just gets better and better. That was wild with the makeup sex!!!
It’s about time. I think Tina NEEDED to hear what Bette said, and if not, too bad, she heard it anyway. Make up sex is always great, but Tina needs to get it through her head that she is NOT going to get her way all the damn time!! Great chapter Ally!!

Bette’s arrogance needs to be left at the door. I love her confidence and it is a complete turn on right Tina?, but she comes off as egotistical at times. Tunes her own horns. She needs Tina, just like Tina needs Her. But i completely forgot about everything once they started the make up sex. phew that was HOt, and well needed by both of them. Tina is soo confident within herself, and she always initiates these encounters. GO TIna, your the man i say. Good job as usual Ally..always your fan.

Ally, After all of that trauma it was great to have Bette and Tina connecting on a purely physical level. This was instinctual and primal as well as hot and sexy. Bette needs to walk and very thin line and been seen to be a strong leader while Tina needs her head but also has to appreciate the pressures on herself and her partner. Wonderful to see that the gals can wok through their issues and come out stronger and deeper in love. Can’t wait to see what wickedness you have in store next. Bring it on!!!
