“This is fate because we talked about you skipping school “
“I know “ I laugh “ But now we don’t have to lie. I can safely stay here for the rest of the week – heaven. I get to spend time with you and our beautiful and smart daughter – that’s all that I want Tina “
Gently Tina kisses me on the lips and for a few seconds our lips just move softly together. She eases away and looks at me
“Have you told Shane ?”
“No – I have been sitting here with my ankle throbbing like crazy and wondering how I was going to take care of Ella “
“You could have rung your father “
“It didn’t crossed my mind “
“Isn’t it time you let him out of the dog house ?”
“No – not by a long way. He’s lied to me virtually my whole life – him and my sister “
Tina sighs – I guess she knows what a stubborn pain the ass I can be at times like this. She touches my knee
“In time I hope you will at least talk to him Bette – its Christmas next week – a time for families and forgiveness “
“If my mother is still alive Tina I will never forgive my father for what he did to me “
“Okay – lets just leave it okay – tell me did he leave you any painkillers ?”
“He offered me some but I won’t take them when I am alone with Ella “
“Well you are not alone now so I’ll get you a glass of water and you can take one.”
“Later “
“Is your ankle hurting Porter ?”
“Yes “
“So you are going to take one now “
“No – I don’t want one – later okay – when I need to – please “
“Okay – I’ll go and see how Ella is and then I will ring Shane “
“I can do it “
“I am going to tell Shane that you are resting – no arguments “

HE AllyE, Great to have more tof this fabulous fan fiction to catch up with. I just love how Tina manages to soften Bette’s bite with a few gentle glances and soft words. I really think that Bette needs to sort things out with Melvin. Tina is pushing her towards this and Bette is tredding water. Time to shout up and listen to her father. Shame about the ankle but it did make me laugh thinking of the POTUS falling over like the rest of us, mere mortals. Hysterical. Can’t wait for your next wonderful post. Another great chapter from this very interesting story AllyE. Tina is the balm that soothes the savage beast Bette. AS for Lucy ever thinking that Bette might have been a drag queen, I don’t see how she could have ever thought such a thing. Lucy must have had very little experience with knowing what a drag queen looks like if she confused Bette as one. Bette is the farthest thing from looking like a drag queen. I don’t remember reading that early on and I must go back and find the comment just to satisfy my mind. One of these days Bette will have to forgive Melvin even if he erred on the side of caution and his love for his daughter. As this scenario progresses I can only see more drama for Bette and Melvin and certainly plenty drama where Shane is concerned. Can not imagine what has sparked her lack of respect for POTUS but, we know Tina will set her straight and of course, Bette will also. Great post AllyE. Post when you can.

Hi Ally, Missed you when you were on your hiatus and admire your taking the time for yourself. Love all your stories and am busy catching up since I was gone for a while myself. Your stories are so great – IC could learn from you that not all drama has to involve cheating, oh well fanfic is the answer.

Again, I wonder what the hell is wrong with Shane. Loved the POTUS-FLOTUS banter and two thumbs up for your consistency, for referencing bits and pieces mentioned about the characters or the storyline 50 or 100 chapters ago. Lord knows how confusing it is to follow some of the storylines in the show because the basic details about the characters seem to be changing every season. So for your consistency, I applaud you! Thank you, Ally! :>
THERE you are funny, I have been looking all over for you! I have to agree with Shane here. Tina is furious with Shane cos she suggested the president come back to work? Kidding me? Bette has a twisted ankle! Not even broken, just sprained, and she is fine with blowing meetings off? Methinks these people gotta get a grip on a little proportion round there.
Poor Bette, hope she get better soon!
