    Breakfast time with the President and First Lady

     

    I turn back to preparing the pancakes – I flip out another one and put the plate in front of Bette

     

    “Wow – its been a while since you made me pancakes “ she smiles at me as she puts Ella back in her high chair.

     

    “Peace offering “ I say smiling

     

    She pulls a face “ Yeah – I was an ass “

     

    “Yes “ I go back to making some very sloppy porridge for Ella. That done I sit down and start offering it to her. She has only just starting having anything other than milk and we are having mixed success – but this seems to be a success. Bette sits eating her pancakes and smiling

     

    “She seems to like that “

     

    “She does – I think this is the right time to be starting to try her out on stuff. I have talked to her nannies and they say that when they are eating she tries to reach for what they have.”

     

    “I was worried that she might choke “

     

    “She can sit up herself and we never leave her alone “

     

    Bette leans over and kisses Ella

     

    “I can’t believe how quickly she is growing “

     

    “19lbs when she was last weighed “ I remind her

     

    “I know – you are going to be a handful “

     

    “I was thinking the same thing “

     

    Bette gets up “ I will see if the newspapers have arrived yet “

     

    She goes off and I offer Ella more porridge – she seems more interested in Bette’s pancakes

     

    “Not yet sweetie – maybe in a few months you can steal momma B’s pancakes – now would you like another mouthful of this ?yes – that’s a good girl “

     

    Bette comes back with the newspapers – she doesn’t look happy and I know why as soon as she throws them on the table. The noise bothers Ella and she refuses her porridge and hold her hands up – she wants to be hugged

     

    “Bette – did you have to throw them down like that ? – you scared her – come here sweetheart”

    1. i have a nice compromise for both of them. Bette will not throw 99% of tinas detail to federal prison for the next 1 million years and Tina agrees that her details get doubled. She is to casual about that.Nice chapi ally and i am looking forward to more because this is not over ;)PPS

    3. Happy Valentine’s Day AllyE!!!Thankfully Bette has admitted to acting like an absolute ass and apologized to Tina. Tina is right they must compromise, and Bette needs to concede that Tina is right about the news release snippets regarding them. If given enough the press will tire of covering them all the time and they will be old news for a while, at least until Tina is preggers again. AllyE, after all this time this story is continually one of my top favs and it never gets stale, you keep us going with fresh storylines. The story will never get old. Thanks to your very wonderful writing ability. Keep up the good work. Have a great weekend. Post when you can.

    5. Happy V-Day. Not much of a holiday to me. So commercial. Great story that always has unique subtexts that are always well written and adult but the characters seem in a rut not the edgy excitement and quirky unexpected behaviors that were present in the past. Maybe they are “too married”? However, please post as soon as you can. :-)

    6. I think Tina handled that very well. I am glad Bette is willing to talk about it now instead of dictating. Wonder what Bette will think about Tina’s interest in maybe becoming govenor? Happy Valentines Day! PPS

    10. i can understand bette being upset and their details for not knowing someone one was next door, but tina is right about the media and bette does need to meet tina half way!:)PPS
