CHAPTER 296
NARRATION OF PRESIDENT BETTE KENNARD PORTER
I don’t expect Tina to get so upset – I really had thought that there would be a huge argument with both of us digging our heels in. But there we are in Ella’s nursery and Tina is crying with her head in my lap.
“I love you “ Tina looks up
“I love you “ I tell her and I mean it. I have been so angry with her – so furious with the accusation that I would have Holly Lancaster . I had lost sight of the most basic thing – I love this woman – she is my whole world. Of course we are going to fall out and have bust ups. I shouldn’t have run away last night but I really didn’t know what else I could have done when I needed to just be away from Tina and the stuff that she was saying.
“I was so scared Bette – I am sorry for hurting you “
I stroke her hair and try to soothe her
“I can be such a thoughtless idiot – I just laid into you – I didn’t wait for you to get settled and maybe have a bath and a meal –I just went for you. I am sorry Bette “
“I am sure we are going to be fine “
“Do you mean it ?”
“Of course – there is too much history and too much love between you and I to let a silly row get out of hand “
“I don’t deserve you but I am so proud of you and I love you “
I lift her head up again and kiss her on the lips. The kiss is a brief one but it is significant – it does mean that we are slowly getting back on track again.
“Come here “ I say softly
She looks up – that phrase is one that is full of meaning for us. We don’t say it lightly – she
smiles
“Say that again “
“Come here Tina “
She gets up and sits beside me on the window seat. I take her hand and kiss it

liked how you worked in the phrase Come Here. Reminded me of a time early in this story when Tina told Bette the same thing after a huge quarrel. Think it was their first quarrel.

Great update. So glad they are working things out. One question comes to mind about Holly’s money, did she still have it in a safe at home or did she really have any money at all? Surely she would have been smart enough to have it in offshore accounts or somesuch. Maybe she was running low on funds and blackmail seemed a logical way out since she hadn’t been making any big blockbuster pictures recently. Can hardly wait to see how all this turns out. You are still the undisputed drama queen AllyE. Congrats on the new job, hope you won’t have another dragon from hell as a supervisor this time. Go into it with great positive thoughts and have a good time learning and doing. Thanks for posting.

Hey AllyE, Sorry for not commenting on your recent post but life has gotten in the way however rest assured I have been in the background reading away. This was a wonderfully written and crafted update as Tina and Bette deakl with their arguement and move forward. This is so typicla of real life. Bette and Tina deeply and truly love each other however misunderstandings and miscommunications still occur and can hurt. Bette rans away here which was not ideal however Tina realize how much she had mistrusted her wife so ran after her to apologize and make things right again. Bette listened and now they have sorted through it, both admitting their failings and both ready to try harder in the future. AllyE, you always keep the truth in your stories.
