Narration of First Lady Tina Kennard
After lunch with Bette we go back to work – Lucy is at her desk and gives me a seriously bad look . I am going to have to sit down and really talk to her. I have nothing against Jodie – she is a nice person and a good part of the Senior Staff but I don’t want her dating my sister. I go to my office and Carmen greets me
“I’ve got a weird one for you “
“Wonderful – just what I need “
“Its from the Vice President’s office ”
“Why does Peggy want to see me ?”
“Peggy is with Helena “
“Helena ! “
“Yes “
“Wow – I thought she was staying in India for a year “
“She is back and would like to see you “
“Okay – ring the VP and tell her that Helena can come and see me as soon as she likes “
“No problem “
I have barely seen Helena since she went into rehab last year. She was out of circulation for three months and when she surfaced again she stayed well away from Washington in general and the White House in particular. She made a statement admitting her problems and announcing that she was not running again as a Senator.
She was also very gracious in how much she thanked Peggy and Bette for helping her. I don’t know the details but I do know that Bette spoke to her once a week when she was in rehab and they do keep in touch.
I deal with some paperwork until Helena appears in the doorway. She looks great — she is wearing Levis, a black sweater and sneakers – she looks so relaxed. I get up and go across and hug her
“You look brilliant “ I tell her.
“Yes – sobriety and being drug free suits me “
“They do – you — wow – just look amazing “
“Thank you — so do you – -being First Lady suits you as well – as does being married “

OK, I’m with you on the steak au poivre, but oysters are disturbing, despite their reputation. Mint potatos? I’ll have to think about that. Miss Lucy needs to grow up a bit more if she wants to hang in the rarefied atmosphere she has perhaps become too comfortable with. Helena’s idea is wonderful and I was happy to read that she is getting her act together. Bette making Tina dinner was so sweet & erotic. Feeding Tina the oysters while kissing in between, very sexy! Great chapter. PS.
A baby was made that night…maybe 2 maybe 3 …so sexy. I can’t wait to read about the “first baby”. I love this story so much. I really like Helena’s idea about the foundation…I hope she is sincere. I also love the idea of the foundation. It’s a really nice and appropriate element to integrate to a story that involves so much politics. But of course I might be a little biased here… Anyway, it’s nice to see Helena back in such circumstances (don’t we all love Helena now?… Well, I do, I think she’s hilarious), and I can’t wait to have more about this foundation, which I’m sure Bette will be thrilled about! Oh, and I hope that Tina will get pregnant, cause that would mean that we were all there during the conception! Thanks Ally.

This was definitely sexy. And on the subject of squirts, let’s hope dinner doesn’t cause either of our two ladies to have another kind of squirt because that’s NOT sexy. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried oysters before and thought they were nasty. That’s sad if they really are an aphrodisiac.
