    Someone knocks at the door and Shane enters – she sees us holding hands – Tina quickly releases my hands.

     

    “Sorry Shane ” Tina says

     

    “The way things are going around here and the two of you are standing here advertising your affair “

     

    “We are not flaunting anything “

     

    “And its not a bloody affair Shane – I would have willingly told the whole world that we are serious about each other “

     

    Shane looks horrified .

     

    “But we don’t have to do anything so lets drop any conversation about is – are you up to date Shane ?”

     

    “Alice rang me “

     

    “What’s our press strategy Tina ?  – is this a long term or short term problem ?”

     

    “Short term – its every talk radio DJ and chat-show hosts  dream come true – lesbian bed hopping – four very sexy women – a broken bed and Jennifer and Lara caught by the White House guards – we will be the butt of every joke for weeks but it’s a short term thing. Long term – I’m glad I’m not Helena – I think the Press will go after her because she has the highest profile of the four “

     

    “Okay – Tina – go and discuss the briefing with Alice and Dana – I need to talk to the President alone “

     

    “No problem “

     

    I really resent Shane dismissing Tina in such an off hand way. Tina catches my eye but I refuse to ignore the situation. I take Tina by the hand and pull her back.

     

    “I’ll see you later right babe – are you still spending tonight with me ?”

     

    Tina frowns “Of course “

     

    “Okay – good luck honey “

     

    She gives me a look that tells me she knows what I’m playing at before she leaves.

     

    “Was that for my benefit ?”

     

    “Was what for your benefit ?”

     

    “That little display of sweet words of endearment “

Did you tell Ally about the bed?Ok, I must admit I have broken a bed. However, the cops were not called and it was with another lovely woman with a name that starts with a H. The bump on my head was pretty nasty.For awhile I thought I was going to be having sex with all three or them. Not that my fictional self would have minded! If that would have happened I 100% sure I would have called out sick the next day, I would have been exhusted!

    27. That was nice and satisfying. I’m curious to see if Tina gets between Bette and Shane’s relationship. Shane has got to be a bit jealous of the intimate way Tina gets to interact w/ Bette but what about Bette referring to Tina as her best friend. Didn’t that used to be Shane’s role??? Late night talks w/ the president. I’m curious to see where you take the Bette Shane relationship. Keep the chapters coming, the sooner the better.

    29. Great chapter. I really enjoyed the scene when Bette is watching Tina do her job so well – I felt really proud too. Hope Shane has reason to cheer up again soon – perhaps some love interest or at least being reconciled to B&T’s relationship better. Thanks for posting. Still can’t wait for more – I think I’m insatiable so don’t take any notice, write when you are inspired to.
