“I am – my father will be delighted at seeing how happy I am with you and he will love how smart you are “
“I asked you the other day if you minded if I told my parents “
“I don’t mind Tina “
” I have been thinking about it – if I brought them to DC – is there any way you could meet them ?”
I kiss her shoulder ” if its what you want then of course. Tina – I want to spend my life with you. Of course I want to get to know your family. I want them to treat me like my father will treat you. Are you okay with that ? With taking that step ?”
“I love you Bette — like I have never loved or needed anyone. I want you to become a part of my family and in time for US to become a family – I am just afraid “
“What of ?”
She leans back against me “I’ve got a lot of baggage – a lot of ghosts. I do love you and I want to be with you. But I am afraid of not being able to really commit myself to you and you alone “
“You think you’ll be unfaithful to me ? “
“No – of course not – I’m scared that I will push you away because I cannot deal with being so happy and in love and the prospect of us settling down together “
” I can understand that – I think that we both have the same feelings “

Oh Ally this was so perfect. Yes Tina is finally opening up and it’s clear that Bette is learning all of Tina’s tricks. Isn’t beautiful when we love someone because of all the flaws. Thanks Girl I love this one.

i agree with everything you said…but it is so much harder having to watch it!!!that is why us fans need you writers to take our minds of the reality of the show and bring us the stories we should be seeing…..keep up the great work we have missed you!!!!!!!

tina is really insecure…sometimes i think that she’s trying to escape something by being with bette and when she finally will find peace in her mind will she still want to be with bette? like bette asked: is it idea of having a family or being with bette is more important? can’t wait for more
I think Tina loves Bette so much but is so scared of admitting it. I hope she admits in the coming chapter ahead, please continue, this is the best!

Ahhh Ally, Jwet put it sooooo well that there is little for me to say with the exception of thank you for sticking to your storyline. So many writers are justifibly being distracted from their storeline by the antics of IC and company in S3. Writers of this sight PLEASE don’t relent and fall pray to their EVIL spell. We need ypur positive B&T stories. It is the only way that we can cope with S3. Please continue Ally, we love this story :o)
That was so perfect,Bette is so smart in how she treats Tina. IHAVE READ FAN FICTION SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING, ALSO WATCH THE SHOW AND HAVE BOTH SEASONS. VERY UNHAPPY WITH S3 NOT THE ACTOR, JUST THE PRODUCDERS AND SHOWTIME. IF I CAN SEND A E=MAIL TO THEM LET ME KNOW Thanks.
Just great mate, good to see Tina realising that she can open up and trust Bette, and good to see Bette, taking her time to understand. I am hoping Bette’s thoughts at the end of the chapter are nothing to worry about. Is Tina focusing on a family with Bette too much, that has to be something they both want. Good one mate! x
Ally, this chapter is so heart warming. There is one line that I especially like—“Real love does not come by finding the perfect person but by learning to love an imperfect person perfectly.” So true and so beautiful. I am glad that you have continued with this story because we really need to read about Bette and Tina loving each other.
The last sentence of this story sums up my thoughts on Tina. Still loving this story Ally…it can’t be easy to stay inspired with the monsoon that is S3, so I apprectiate fan fiction and it’s writers all the more.

Yes, Ally, ignore the geek show that IC is putting on. She may have Alice biting the heads off chickens next. We all like it your way better.

It’s so great to come here and find B&T stories that don’t have tons of angst like S3 has. They aren’t always happy and fluffy bunny, but we aren’t left feeling like a big chunk of time was skipped. I’m really glad to see Tina opening up. I’m just now realizing it, but it seems like your Tina is very similar to the pre-Tina Bette I see in several fanfics. Sex is there, it feels good, but means nothing. Still not sure why Bette is hesitant to have kids one day though.

Ally, thank you for the rant, you’re just expressing what a lot of us are thinking about S3 and IC. Personally, I’m done watching S3. I figured it would be my way of expressing my disapproval, the fact that I now longer like this story. I’m hoping that if the ratings are getting low, Showtime will realise they have to do something to keep their viewers happy and watching. But I do love your story Ally and I will keep reading it.

Nice revelations in this chapter. So know we know why Tina freaked at seeing her ex and why she needs to know that her relatinship w. Bette is based on more than a physical attraction and sexual compatibilty. Post soon.

sigh. i’m torn about the direction of the show. on the one hand, the quality of the show is completely superior to both seasons, i think. the dialogue is sharp, the acting is fabulous, and the look of the show is beautiful and not quite as claustrophobic in terms of camera work. but dana dying? b&t busting up because tina’s randomly having feelings for men again? that stuff bugs me. see? torn. excellent chapter though, ally, denialville needs the fix.

This si a good sign for the survival of their relationship particularly given all of the external forces that could potentially destroy this remarkable relationship/ You do this all with such tender and gentle scenes. this is such a great story. this bette is so thoughtful, aptly sensitive to tina’s soulful personality…if only i can meet someone like her! i do wish to see a bit more of the green-eyed monster in her though…i think that would be fun. i haven’t watched s3 yet coz i’m from the far end of the world that is deprived of good honest programming, but whatever i have read off the net on s3’s bette and tina is already distressing me. at least reading this story helps me feel much better. thanks!
