“Alright girls! Lets pack it up!” Dana put her cowboy hat on and walked over to the driver side of the van.  Alice hopped in the front and closed the door.

“I can’t wait for the vacation to start! San Francisco here we come!” Alice shrieked.

“I’m glad that Kit could take care of Angel while we’re gone.” Bette looked up at Tina. Tina smiled and snuggled closer to Bette.

“So why are we going to Francisco?” Carmen looked up at Dana.

“They’re having a Gay Parade, and they invited me because they wanted me on one of the floats. So I thought I invite you guys for the fun.” Dana looked over at Alice and smiled. Alice grabbed Dana’s hand and kissed it. 

“So what do we have for music Dana?” Shane looked over her sunglasses. Dana smiled and grabbed a CD.

“I hope you guys like this, it’s a mix from the 80s.” Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” went through the speakers, and the girls nodded their head to the music.

“I love this song,” Helena began to sing along as she looked out the window.

I made it through the wilderness

Somehow I made it through

Didn’t know how lost I was

Until I found you

                Dana pulled onto the interstate and cruised down the freeway. The girls began to sing along with Helena and began to have a good time.

Like a virgin

Touched for the very first time

Like a virgin

Next to mine

 

                Dana continued to drive without making a stop, and the girls in the back were sleeping. Alice looked away from the map and looked up.

 

“Babe, do you know where we’re at?”

 

Dana sighed. “It’s a short cut, that’s all.”

 

“Dana, you don’t know where we’re at.  Why don’t we get back onto the freeway?”

 

“Alright,” Dana looked over at Alice. “Do you trust me?”

 

“Of course I do,” Alice smiled. “I love you.”

 

“I love you too baby. Give me a kiss,” they both leaned over and kissed softly. They pulled away, and Alice leaned up.
