The L Word: Tina Kennard’s lost background
Next morning Bette was in the bathroom, taking her morning shower, while Tina was in the kitchen preparing the breakfast. Angie was playing quietly in her chair, messing around her apple mash. Tina’s curiosity about this book was driving her crazy. She was torn between throwing the book away and studying her closely. She kissed Angie’s hair telling her to be a good girl and to not move from her chair. She went in the living room, plopping on the couch, hesitating for one moment, but then she took the book, opening on unspecified page. She dragged her fingers over the cramped handwriting, squeezing her eyes to see well.
“God, I do need glasses…” she said, trying desperately to read the text…After few efforts she finally read out the antique words. Meanwhile Bette was going out of the shower, drying her hair whit big, fluffy towel, when one unexpected object dragged her gaze. Tina was still in the living room, trying to figure out the whole absurd situation her life was in right now, when she heard Bette’s scream from the bedroom. She ran upstairs ready for the worst. Tina flew in the room; looking franticly around…she searched for Bette finding her hiding in the closet.
“Nice place to hid Porter, is this a delicate hint or something…?” Tina asked playfully, seeing her partner in distress.
“It’s not funny T…you didn’t saw it…” Bette said, looking more scared then before…
“Baby, what’re you talking about….come on…get out of there…” Tina gently dragged out Bette, taking her by the hand.
“It was that height….she gestured with her hands, showing height not more than her knees, and…and had a big ears…and funny face…first I thought it was Alice, but then I remembered that she can’t get in…and this was looking at me…than I start screaming and hide in the closet….” Bette was rambling, trying to explain her encounter with the unexpected guest.
“Where is it now…” Tina asked looking around…then a noise of falling kitchen utensils dragged their attention…
“The kitchen…” Bette said running out of the room…
“Oh…god….Angelica…” Tina said, running after Bette.
“Bette and Tina stormed in the kitchen finding Angie in good health, still in her chair…but few plates and utensils were on the ground.
