Chapter 3

"Carmen…" Carmen already knew what Kevyn was about to say and she didn’t want to discuss it not here not ever for that matter. Instead she decided to continue hanging the streamers for Dana’s party and ignoring Kevyn while she did so, "Carmen…it was a long time ago maybe you should…".

"No don’t you fucking dare" Carmen threw the remains of the tissue paper onto the floor as she yelled at Kevyn who was suprised at the tone of her voice. It even caused Shane to stare from across the room, Carmen quickly lowered her voice. "I don’t wanna talk about it" she said walking away from Kevyn.

"You know she asked about you" Kevyn replied toying with the decorations she had in her hand.

"How long has she been back and now you’re deciding to tell me…and you didn’t even do that…you were keeping that from me why" Carmen asked but Kevyn wasn’t prepared to answer her, she thought it was best if Carmen were kept in the dark. Papi and Carmen were her best friends how was she to choose between the both of them.

"Wait a minute whoa…this is not about me its about the both of you" Kevyn threw her hands up and turned her back on Carmen to finish decorating. "I’m just saying the two of you should talk…this needs some closure".

"Well that’s done" Helena shut her cellphone and placed it back into her purse.

"I can’t believe we got a nanny…well manny on such short notice…thanks again Helena" Tina continued to pick through her salad.

"Angus is great and if you would like we could pick Angelica up on the way back to the studio and Angus could pick her up" Helena added and Tina stopped. She stared at Helena for a minute which illicited a curious, "What" from Helena.

"Nothing its just that…I was sure we would never speak to each other in such a respectful way but I don’t know you’ve become…" Tina knew the exact word to say but she didn’t want to offend Helena.

"Human…well I learned a thing or two from Alice in the past few months" Helena began.

"Yeah how did that happen…I mean you and Alice" Tina asked intrigued by exactly how Helena and Alice came to be friends.
