Mazzy Star – Fade Into You

Indianapolis.  It’s evening as the bus has pulled in after an uneventful and mostly quiet ride.  At this point, some are simply waiting to get the Philadelphia.  But for now, it’s the hotel and this one has a restaurant.  Some are there enjoying each other’s company and the food.  Meanwhile, in one of the rooms, three ladies ponder their fate for the evening, relaxing against the wall while seated together side by side by side on the bed.  Uta, Leigh and Dax, with Leigh in the middle rest together with Uta’s head on Leigh’s left shoulder and Dax on Leigh’s right.  Dax is mostly silent as she goes over in her mind the possibilities and probabilities of this eventual undertaking.

Leigh: Where did Gabby say she was going?

Uta: Down to grab a bite to eat.

Dax: …She said she wanted to talk to an old friend for a few minutes.

Uta: Which one?

Leigh: …Alice, wasn’t it?

Dax nods.  Uta smiles.

Uta: I know Alice.  She’s nice.

Uta lips come a little closer to Leigh’s neck as Dax watches on.  Just as the night before, part of her isn’t well with what she sees while she’s otherwise deeply aroused.  She’s been part of moments like this before, but they’ve usually been at the end of a long night of partying and women looking to get some sex out of their system.  But this feels different to Dax.  There’s something to deeper to this and for her, the last few weeks she’s only needed Leigh for that and no one else.

Dax: Um…I’m gonna go check on her.  I’ll be right back.

Dax reaches up and kisses Leigh gently on the lips.  She turns towards Uta and finds herself only a couple of inches away from her.

Uta: Hurry back, please?

Uta reaches those last two inches with her lips and meets Dax’s with Leigh looking on, her arms around each of them.  Dax pulls back after a few seconds and looks back at Leigh.  Leigh smiles, causing Dax to close her eyes and grin.  She gets out of the bed and walks out of the room, headed for the restaurant several floors below.  The last image she sees before leaving the room is that of Leigh and Uta cuddling together.
