    The Parent Trap

    “Hey guys,” she smiled.

“Hi,” they said in unison. Shane let them in and gave Angelica another hug.

“I just wanted to say again you were great last night.”

“Thanks,” Angelica grinned. She took a seat on the couch with Alice and Dana on the side of her.

“So what do I owe the pleasure?” Shane took a seat on the edge of her love seat.

“Well—,” Angelica rubbed her hands on her jeans. “I wanted to ask you something.” Shane looked at Alice and Dana and then at Angelica.

    “What is it?”

Angelica hesitated and then exhaled. “Well first, what were my moms like when they were together?”

Shane beamed. “They were amazing. They were so happy together. They were so loving, and it’s sad that they couldn’t work it out. What your moms had was something real special.” She nodded.

“What if I told you if I knew how to get them back together?”

    “How is that?” Shane smiled.

“Well I’ll need yours, Auntie Alice and Dana’s help with the whole thing. Will you help me?” Angelica gave Shane the puppy dog eyes, and Shane sighed and smiled.

“All right you got me, I’m in.”

Angelica clapped her hands together. “Yay!”

“So what’s the plan?” Shane asked. Angelica looked at Alice and Dana.

    “The plan?”

“Yeah, what’s the plan?” Angelica chuckled nervously.

    “I really don’t have a plan.”

“Well we can think of something.” Alice smiled.

“Wait—,” everybody looked at Dana. “Your moms’ anniversary—well their supposed anniversary is only a month away. Why don’t we get them together on their special day?”

    “That’s a great idea baby.”

    Dana smiled coyly. “Thanks.”

Shane rubbed her hands together. “Okay—let’s begin.”

“First things first, how are we going to get them together?” Angelica looked at her aunts.

“Why don’t we throw a dinner party, but they’re the only ones who show up.” Alice spoke up. “We’ll have it at the Planet, and we’ll be the waiters, and you’ll be the host.” She pointed at Angelica.

“I like the plan, but wait—,” Angelica pouted. “How am I going to get my moms away from the girlfriends?”

“I don’t think that would be hard to do.” Shane grinned.

    1. Crap now I’ll have “Let’s Get Together” stuck in my head as I go to sleep and I’ll dream about it. LOL I’m surprised Shane easily agreed to help Angie get her moms back together. I figured she’d need some coaxing.

    2. Hello AKcb, that was so sweet the whole family getting in on the possible reunion, this is how it should be… the family all together. I also love how you have Bette and Tina trying so hard not to step on one another’s toes and yet they are so very much in love. It is uncanny how we cannot see what is right in front of our faces. Tina should come straight (no pun intended :P) with Trish before she goes and makes things worse, Trish seems to really be warming up to Tina and it would be sad if she got hurt in the long run. Well my friend another brilliant story you are weaving… keep up the amazing work and good luck with your studies. Sincerely, JC
