    The past is gone

My name is Sydney Miller, I’m 21 years old, today was my first day in L.A. I just moved in from New York. I just finished unpacking, I’m renting a basement, they’re actually renting the entire house but the basement is all I could afford at the moment, besides I don’t own enough furniture to fill an entire house so the basement is just fine with me. But I have to get a job quick if I don’t want to end up living in a box, I’ve spent all of my life savings just to get here, so I’m kinda desperate to work, I’m a dancer, not a professional one, but that’s what I love to do, and I did that for a living the last two years I was in NY. But right now I’ll do anything, I could be a waitress, I could work on sales, I don’t know, anything. but now I just have to get some sleep, today was a really busy day, and tomorrow will be twice as hard, cause I’m not coming home till I have a job, I need to fill applications, lots of those, and go to talk to people and try to get them into hiring me, and on top of that I still have millions of things to do around here, oh, I’m getting tired just thinking about it.

So I lay on the mattress, cause there’s no bed, just the mattress, and I sleep trough the night.

I woke up really early today eager and excited about getting a job, I’m confident that by the end of the day, I’ll have a job. So put on my best outfit which is no different than the rest of my clothes, but I look fine, black casual pants, and my favorite vintage ramones t-shirt, the baby blue one, so that my very blue eyes can stand out, my usual converse shoes, my pretty blonde hair is quite a mess, but I like it that way, and I’ve put on my glasses I actually hate them, but someone told me they make me look responsible, and considering the circumstances I think they might help, so now that I look good, responsible and all, it’s time to hit the road.
