The Professor (17)
“I miss you,” Tina smiled, lingering in Bette’s office doorway.
Bette wanted to ask Tina what she was doing teasing her so openly at school, but she knew she couldn’t. Tina was in black capris and a yellow cardigan, and the sweet image had Bette covering her smile. “Tina.”
“Sorry,” she whispered, stepping in closer with her books over her chest and a mischievous smile on her lips. “I know, I know … I just … wanted to see if you could help me …”
“I feel like there are eyes all over the place,” Bette mumbled, looking down the piles of folders across her desk. She always liked a bit of mess for motivation. Then she lifted her head and tried desperately to speak with Tina as if she were any other student. “But … how can I help you?”
Tina just tapped her lips and then looked over some of the framed certificates hanging in Bette’s office. When she didn’t know what she could say aloud, she stepped as close to the desk as she could, and whispered to her professor. “I’m going commando.”
Bette’s eyes widened, but she quickly focused on her desk. Suddenly the papers held all of her interest.
“Just … thought you should know that,” Tina teased quietly, getting up to walk away, but before she could reach the door, Bette caught her wrist. The brunette felt a wave rush over her, and it was all she could do to keep from screaming. Having had to lecture while thinking of something other than Tina was hard enough. She didn’t know how she would get through her other classes with Tina’s teasing image in mind.
Without a word, Bette held Tina to the wall and she kissed her once. It didn’t last long, but while her hand cupped the side of Tina’s face, the passion between them was clear.
Bette quickly pulled back to breathe, shocked at what she had just done. She leaned out of her room to see if anyone else was near, but it was clear that the hall was empty. Still, she felt a great guilt. “I’m sorry …” It was a mistake, just as anyone might make. She was human.
“I shouldn’t have come,” Tina admitted, correcting her posture. She never wanted anything negative to befall Bette because of her own selfish desires. “I’m sorry. I would never … I’m sorry.” She gave Bette an apologetic glance and hurried back out, down the hall.

What a wonderful update. When i saw the chapter summary, I got a little bit worried, but it turned out alright in the end. I wonder how much time Tina has left before graduation: it looks like all that secrecyve in this is getting to her

The curse of technology! I meant to say that all that secrecy must be getting to Tina. She needs to be done with her finals asap so that she and Bette can finally be a couple with no hassles.

This update shows Bette even more so how different Tina is from Helena. She actually has a heart and can be emotionally vulnerable which is what Bette needs sometimes too.

Thanks GR! For the wonderful update and for spare time to write and post in the middle of your chaotic times. I found that the emotions in this chapter are so strong and how worry I was in the beginning-I thought any or both of them would be in a deep $#!+ 😓 …. Glad that they found the balance and setlled 😄 well.. Looking forward to more update from you 😁

Finally, its time for Tina can be vulnerable and be held by Bette. This is the first argument but more like another step forward in their relationship. Thoughtful transition from this campus incident into something more than just drama. amazing! And thank u!
