It was a long night for Bette, but she was too angry and upset to really talk with Helena, so they finally slept.
When Bette awoke the next morning, she turned over to find that Helena had all of the comforters. She had to roll her eyes at the metaphor of all Helena had taken from her, and how selfish her wife often was. Out of anger and frustration, Bette yanked the covers away and threw them into the hall, forcing herself to get ready for work. As troubled as she had been the night before, life went on.
She kept muttering the phrase to herself even as she sat in her office, ignoring any calls or visits as she knew she couldn’t handle it. The one class she had to teach went by rather quickly, and she excused herself early because of an important meeting. Her misery was overriding everything else, and she hated that she didn’t feel in control. It was eating away at her, as well as what Tina must have felt. She couldn’t even bring herself to think of that. It was too much.
Somewhere along the way, she’d even convinced herself that she may have over-reacted. That maybe Helena had wanted her to enjoy herself. She tried so desperately to look above everything else and to see the good in Helena. She wanted it to be present. She wanted so many things.
“I’m sorry.”
It was one of the only times she ever heard it from her wife, as they both could be stubborn when they wanted to be, and it actually was a relief. As crazy as Helena had seemed lately, her apology helped Bette to relax her shoulders. It even helped with some of the anger building inside of her.
Instantly, Helena came up behind Bette and started kissing her neck – touching her all over. She was fluid and desperate, and the strategy was foreign to the stage of marriage they’d entered.
"Helena …" Bette moaned, moving her own hands down over her pants, surprised with Helena’s passion. "You never touch me like that anymore …"
"I touch you all the time," Helena moaned, leading Bette over to the door and pinning her there gently, bracing herself with her other arm. She liked to watch Bette’s expressive eyes, and her lips. "When you’re sleeping … even when you’re drunk …"

Its really complicated between Bette and Helena. And i start to wonder if this just stay between them and not to include the third one would be better. Because in this situation, i dont think its good for Tina to interfere, it would be unfair to Tina, even to Bette too. Bette need to think this all through before turning to Tina. Although im desperately wanting to see more Tina/Tibette scenes.
Bette has the right to be angry there is nothing worse than a cheater cheating again after being given a second chance Helena needs to go with Dylan and fuck off and I think Bette needs a bit of time to meditate and fully divorce Helena before getting with Tina because then it would be a rebound and it would not be fair to either of them
It is amazing how we can allow ourselves to be involved with disastrous relationships simple because we need to be loved. Any relationship, built upon untruth regrettable, ends for the same reason.I believe Bette knew from the start that the premises on with her marriage existed was not right. However, it was easier for her to deny the truth rather than face her reality. Simply because she needed to be loved. Bette’s exterior beauty is undeniable to many. Nevertheless, the fact to the matter is that being beautiful can become a curse. Many desire to touch someone physically beautiful, often times disregarding the fact that all human beings whether physically beautiful or otherwise have real feelings and emotions. The truth to this story is Bette’s inner self needed love and understanding. Keep telling your story, I am listening .
I find the Helena-Bette dynamic so intriguing & hope their marriage can be salvaged. So the 2nd time Hel cheated on Bette with Dylan was after she tried things with Tina? Was Bette right about Helena causing fights b/w them because of the guilt she felt over hurting Bette again? I would make sense that Helena would push her wife to be with Tina to help alleviate some of her own guilt. Thanks for another great post!

LOVING THIS! CHIO HELENA HELLO TINA! lol can’t wait to c how the next chapter pans out maybe u could get bette to end up going over to Tina’s let’s says apartment or something. Hope to see more of Tina in the next chapter though. I’m really loving this story I’m always looking forward to it :D
Nice work as always, GR. I like drama, so long as I get the payoff in the end: B & T cuteness. please, feel free to write longer, more dramatic pieces. For me, this isn’t so much a Belena story as it is a story about how Tibette came to be. Helena is in some ways incidental, as is anyone who stands in the way of the Bette & Tina inevitability. The sex between Belena reminds me of what Peggy P said about Desire Unbound: all that f@cking without art is really rather dreary. Art=emotion, something that causes one to feel moved. B & H clearly don’t have it in this story. Yet, the last paragraph where B is imagining a tender T stroking her back warms the cockles of my heart. Can’t wait for the rest.

Wow Helena really is a piece of work. Bette has put up with so much and she’s right there’s more to a relationship than good sex. I noticed the good part. Betts may have some self esteem issues and I hope Tina will be coming to the rescue soon. Thanks GR for the awesome post.
