“Bette Porter!” Tina screamed after slamming the front door of their shared apartment in Manhattan.

“Yes,” stammered Bette. ‘Wonder why Tina’s back so early and why is she shouting?’

Bette cautiously walked up to Tina from their bedroom and greeted her.

“Hey baby,” she smiled and attempted to kiss Tina on her cheek.

Tina was about to leave work early at Spoon and Fork, a five star restaurant she had worked at as a chef, she had received a call from Alice, telling her that Bette wasn’t home. Bette had promised her that she’d stay home; she didn’t want Bette to go out to the bars without her.  It’s not that Tina was insecure or anything, it was just that she didn’t trust the other women who’d drool over her girlfriend. A few weeks ago, she had gotten into a scuffle with a woman that had came onto Bette and actually sat in her lap right in front of her eyes. The nerve of these sluts!

“Don’t you, ‘Hey baby’ me, Porter!” snapped Tina, as she put up her arms in front of her, in order to block Bette from kissing her.

“What’s the matter T?” Bette asked.

Tina chuckles, she can’t believe Bette is acting as if she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

“You,” she points a finger at Bette, “are the problem! Didn’t I tell you not to set a foot out this apartment without me tonight? Don’t you even try to deny it! I got a call from Alice, she stopped by to give you some dinner, that I had made for you and she said no one answered the door. So, what do you have to say Bette?” Tina tapped her foot and crossed her arms, staring daggers at Bette.

‘Fucking Alice!’ Bette screamed in her head. She was choking, no, strangling Alice to death in her mind.

“T, I had to stop by the office today, I hadn’t realized that I had an appointment with someone for an assistant job, you know, the one I haven’t been able to fill in, since I’ve opened Porter Restaurant Group? Anyways, Lauren, that’s her name, she’s my new assistant now. I wanted to welcome her and get to know her a little more, so we went out to Mr. Chow’s for dinner.”

    1. Great beginning. I love to mix up the characters in other story lines and create new adventures. This one has an interesting beginning. Are you also going to change their characteristics as well?
