    BetteI dont like my girlfriend getting all chummy with some girl I dont even know. She was flirting with you right in front of me., Tina whispered.

    Bette cautiously grabbed Tinas hands and held them down in her lap, her eyes looking deep into her girlfriends. T.lets stop this before it starts. I love you. I love only you. I dont even see anyone else. Its just you and me T. Thats how it is and thats how its going to be. Yesterday, I went out and had some ice cream with Alice. But thats it. Were just friends. She tried to hit on me, I told her I had a girlfriend. She knows Im off limits. Dont get upset about this. Please, T, Bette pleaded.

    Tina sighed, now feeling like shed overreacted. She still had some questions in her mind. Im not getting upset, Bette. Butit feels like you were hiding this from me. Why didnt you just tell me? Why didnt you just call me yesterday and tell me you were going to out with her? I was waiting on you last night, I got worried when you didnt phone.

    Im sorry, T. I didnt mean to worry you. It had just been a long evening and I didnt want to ruin your night with Dana. I just havent had time to tell you. I was passed out asleep when you came home. After we made love, I passed out again. Im really sorry., said Bette.

    Tina wrinkled her brow. Am I possessive?, she asked.

    Bette smiled. Yes. But thats okay. Now that I think about it, if the tables were turned, Id be a little suspicious myself. But, I want you to know that you never have anything to worry about. I told you T, you already own my heart. I cant give that away. I belong to you.

    Tina smiled. Thats right. And dont forget it.

    Wednesday afternoon found Bette walking leisurely back to Hedrick Hall. Shed just finished her final for Italian was relieved to be finished with the exam. As she walked across the campus, past sprawling green lawns and blooming trees, her mind fast forwarded to sandy beaches and evenings spent in Tinas warm embrace. She was so drained from finals and putting together the QA fundraiser that the upcoming week spent in Cancun was all she could think about.
