The Story of Shane: In Transition 2
Shane was rapt as to what he was saying. Hey she was as curious as the next person. So like do you or we do anything special for them?
Nothing much. I work behind the bar, serve the drinks and keep quiet when the boss does make an appearance. You should do the same. I will point him out to you when the time comes.
***** yeah you better. I guess whatever pays the bill, man.
Shane turned away from James and walked around the living room. The couch was old but looked comfortableone that you want to sink yourself into and stay forever, so she did.
I wonder how Meg came to be working there. Jay shrugged his shoulder in response.
Speaking of Meg, you are going to Sundays dinner right?
She had copped out of the last one because she was still not so comfortable with what was going on around her. Every second of everyday, she was expecting her fortune just implodes on her or that she would wake up and realized that it was all a dream.
Yup wouldnt miss it for the world. And Shane wouldnt either if humanly possible because she had promised Meg after some persuasion. Just the very fact that there existed Sundays dinner was odd to Shane, lets alone her attending one. Of course she has experienced lots of different things this past week. How life changed so quickly was beyond her.
I know you havent started working at the salon yet, not until Monday right? At Shanes nod, Jay said, Ahh, the lovely MJ. You have no idea your luck.
Who? Shane crunched her forehead. She was usually very good with names, but came up blank at this.
Jay laughed. Shane was cute when she tried to remember something. Too bad she was *****, he thought. To Shane, he said, Amanda Judith Lister. Megs daughter. Since she was named after Megs sister, they cant use Mandy as a nickname, hence MJ.
Cool.
You will like her. Jay lifted his brows suggestively and grinned from ear to ear.
Shane punched his shoulder jokingly. In fact, she was very glad that Jay was cool with her liking girls and all since she liked spending time with him.
Dude, Im not looking for anyone. A broken heart needs time to heal, Shane said wisely.
Right, Jay responded sarcastically.
