Dana: I’ll tell you later.

Alice: So there’s something? If you don’t want to tell me that’s fine, but you should work out your problems before they get out of hand.

Dana: Wow, Shane, is that you?

Alice: Ha ha very fucking funny, Dane. You know I’m right.

Dana: Yeah I guess. Thanks, Alice. You’re my best friend, you know that?

Alice: It has been said.

As Alice said this, she had a smug grin plastered on her face.

Dana: Where is Shane anyway?

Alice: I don’t know. I haven’t seen her since yesterday morning. Maybe she’s found a new ‘friend’.

Dana: That could be it. I wonder how Bette and Tina are doing.

Alice: Dana, they’re on their honeymoon, they’ll be doing just fine.

Both girls smirked at this, knowing exactly what their friends were doing. Bette and Tina had decided to get married after 7 years together. Their wedding was 2 weeks ago and they were in Paris for a week for their honeymoon.

Alice: Anyway I’ve got to go. I have work in 30 minutes. See you later Dane.

Dana: Bye Alice.

Just as Alice was walking through the door of The Planet, she heard Dana shout her. She turned round to see Dana running through the queue of people waiting for their orders.

Dana: Alice!

Alice: What?

Dana: Erm… Can you meet me later? I want to tell you… about what we talked about this morning.

Alice: You want to talk about Bette and Tina’s honeymoon? Okay Dane but I have to warn you, if you want details it will be very graphic. They’re all over each other when all our friends are there so imagine what they’re like when they’re…

Before Alice could finish, Dana cut her off.

Dana: NO! Alice I don’t mean that. I mean…

Alice: I know what you mean. I’m sorry. I was just messing with you. What time shall we meet?

Dana: Well… I have training until 3 so, shall we say 4?

Alice: Yeah that should be fine. Should I come to your place of you come to mine?

Dana: I’ll come to yours. I want to talk to you in private.

Alice: Okay that’s not a problem. You know you can trust me, right? I know I joke a lot but you’re my best friend and I’m always going to be here when you need me.

Dana: I trust you, Al. I haven’t told anyone else and you’re my best friend too. The same goes for you.

Alice: I know. Anyway I better get going; I don’t want to be late. Bye Dane.

Dana: See you, Al.

As Alice walked away, she turned round and gave a small smile and a wave towards Dana. Dana did the same and turned to walk back into The Planet, only to see Lara stood in the doorway, a frown on her face and her arms folded.

Lara: Dana. Why was she here?

Dana: We were just talking, Lara. I’m allowed to have friends.

Lara: But…

Dana walked right past Lara, picked up her training bag from the table in The Planet and walked back out through the door, completely ignoring Lara and making her way to the tennis courts. She was really annoyed at Lara for not accepting her friends. She thought it would get better once she got to know them, but Lara just got more jealous whenever Danas attention was on someone other than her. This just added to the things she would talk to Alice about later.
