Im going back to bed, it was nice to meet you Shane. he said, retreating back ot his bedroom in a hurry.

Tabitha looked at Shane, who was still trying to take in all the information.

So whos Ella? Shane asked, already knowing the answer to the question but wanting to hear the words straight from Tabithas mouth.

Tabitha smiled and took Shanes hand again, leading the way to her bedroom. Before she opened the door she turned to Shane and kissed her tenderly, she pulled back and looked deeply into her dark eyes.

I know this is a lot to put on you Shane and Im so sorry I kept Ella from you. I wanted to tell you so badly but I tend do deal with situations like this quite shabbily, so Ill understand if you want to get out of this.

Shane listened to the words, thinking how lucky she was to be standing in front of this beautiful and brilliant woman who had stolen her heart. She kissed Tabitha, transferring all the passion she could muster onto her lips and giving it to Tabithas. They held onto each other tightly, succumbing to the craving to merge so desperately with one another. When they parted they rested their foreheads together, listening to the ragged breathing and thumping of their hearts.

Tabby, I don’t want to scare you, but Im falling for you. I fell for you the moment I saw you in the Planet. Nothing would make me get out of this now and I am honoured to be able to meet your daughter. she said, the words coming from the depths of her heart and dripping off her lips in an elixir of pure honesty.

Tabitha smiled and held back the tears of happiness which urgently wanted to spill down her cheeks. She pulled back to look at Shane and took her hand again, opening the door and pulling Shane inside. She heard the small intake of breath from Shane when she saw Ellas crib, the light from the night light setting the room in a soft glow.

Shane followed Tabitha and they stood over the wooden crib which was laced with white bows and ribbon. Shane didn’t think she had ever seen something so beautiful. The baby lay on her back, arms draped over her head and her little tummy lifting and falling with each delicate breath that escaped her mouth. Long, dark lashed lay on her peach coloured cheek so peacefully.

Shane meet Ella. Tabitha whispered.

Shane let out a shaky breath, she hadn’t realised shes been holding her breath in.

Shes beautiful Tabby, just like her mum, an angel.
