To Die Standing Chptr. 19
Tina watched as Bette went through a checklist she’d printed and kept in her leather bound folder. She took a seat in the chair behind her completely unnoticed by Bette. Everything had a perfect blue check in the box next to the sentence. She’d spent the morning doing their laundry and folding it into the suitcases she’d laid out on the couch in the living room. Once they’d slept the bed linens that were used in the bedrooms were to be washed, folded and placed neatly in the center of the mattress with the pillows stripped and leant against them. She’d planned on waking Tina and Angie early so she could do the final laundry and get on the road to L.A. before the sun fully hit the sky. So there she was pre-packing for them all and making sure to get everything they’d used cleaned and back in order before they left early tomorrow morning.
Tina had come in from watching the children run around the yard with Dom while she and Cilia watched from chairs in the yard. She saw how concentrated Bette was on folding the laundry and neatly placing it in the suitcases she’d opened up in front of her. It was interesting, watching her being so domesticated. Angie’s clothes were folded first and placed in order into her little pink suitcase. Pants at the top and shirts afterwards with socks and underwear sharing an equal division of the four quadrants she’d made in the suitcase, she’d put her shoes in zip-lock bags and placed them on top of her clothes.
She had to cover her small laugh, even she didn’t pack Angie’s suitcase so neatly and with precision. She looked as Bette wrote something down on her paper and continued about her task. She didn’t know why but she just needed to do something to grab Bette’s attention. She knew just calling her name would only get her a half answer and most likely not the answer she wanted.
She stood up walked around the coffee table and stood behind Bette pressing her body into Bette’s she let her hands glide onto her hips allowing her middle finger to purposely tickle the strip of soft skin above her waistband. She peered over her shoulder to glance at her checklist. There at the bottom she could see what Bette had just written down. “Buy travel shoe bags for A&T.” She laughed and made Bette smile as she stopped working to pack their clothes, “I see she gets top billing once again.” Tina said kissing Bette’s now warm neck.

I hope Bette agrees to go… As always, loved the chapter. Thanks for posting, and best wishes for 2013. :)
Thanks for the update. I’m so glad Tina told Trish about Bette. Now she needs to open to Bette about her fear of losing her. She can’t keep those feelings hidden from her and have a truly close relationship.
