So get the ***** away from me and get the ***** out of my house. You are no longer welcome here ever again.”
Shane took hold of Sarah. She was pushing her towards the door.
Tina walked up to Bette.
Tina: “I’m sorry she did this Bette.”
Bette: “It’s ok, it wasn’t your fault.”
Sarah turned to Tina. She was still mad as *****.
Carmen: “Tina we will take her home.”
Tina: “Fine.”
Sarah: “Tina I want you to take me home.”
Tina: “Sarah I don’t think I should be around you right now.”
Sarah: “Please Tina take me home. We can talk. I’ m sorry. I’m sorry.”
Tina: “Shane, Carmen could you please make sure she gets home. I’ll have Kit give me a ride.”
Shane: “We’ll take care of it.”
Carmen: “Bette thank you we’ll talk to you later.”
Kit: “Who needs a ride with me?”
Bette: “Alice, Dana you guys live clear out of Kit’s way, just stay the night. You can use the guest room.”
Dana: “Thank you, guys I think I’ll take Al and get her to bed.”
Kit/Bette/Tina: “Goodnight.”
Kit: “Tina you want a ride home?”
Tina: “yes, I better get home.”
Bette: “You can stay too if you want. I’ll take the sofa. You can have my bed.”
Tina: “I couldn’t do that. I’ll go home and see you tomorrow.”
Bette: “Ok, but could I have a word with you before you go?”
Tina: “Sure.”
Kit: “I’ll wait, go ahead.”
Bette and Tina went into the house. They were in the living room and Bette turned to Tina.
Bette: “Tina I’m sorry Sarah is jealous of me. I’m sorry she embarrassed you because of me.”
Tina: “Bette don’t worry. I have to say I was very proud of you tonight. You have changed so much, I was very happy at the way you reacted to the situation.”
Bette: “Really?”
Tina: “Yes, I loved the way you handled yourself. And thank you for not doing something violent.”
Tina reached over then and kissed Bette on the cheek.
Bette took her face and gently touched it with her hand. She leaned in and placed a very slow and gentle kiss on Tina’s lips. Tina melted into it. It was the sweetest kiss Bette could remember between them. It almost felt like that first time so many years ago in the art gallery.
Tina stepped back.
Tina: “I’ll see you tomorrow at brunch. Thank you for having us over tonight.”
Bette: “Goodnight T. See you tomorrow.”
Kit and Tina left.
Bette went to the guest room and checked on Al and Dana. Then she went to bed herself.
She touched her lips still feeling the feel of Tina on them. Remembering how Tina said she was proud of how she handled things. Bette fell asleep with a smile on her face. She knew she was winning the battle.
For the first time in a long time Bette Porter was proud of herself.

Woo-hoo! Sarah’s taking herself out of the competition. Can’t wait to see how her conversation with Tina goes about all this. No apologies can save her after she was repeatedly asked to back off. Great chapter, goldie!!!
to bad tina didn’t deck sarah for bette since she was being strong maybe each girl should of taken a turn ha love the story

Well, like I said after chapter 7, Sarah knows she doesn’t stand a chance against Bette (when it comes to Tina or anything else.) Sarah is just continuing to “milk” Tina – hopefully Tina will soon put a stop to it.
As always, this magic Goldfish’s touch did marvels ! Mixing and mastering all the genres here : comedy with Alice, psychodrama with Sarah, classy drama with Bette, a bit of romantism with our favorite two – and even greek chorus with the gang witnessing the events’s increasing drama ! Wonderful work, dear so talented author, really !
Well, alcohol always unmasks us, revealing our true colours – and Sarah just learned it to her cost : thanks to her, never Bette appeared more classy and superb facing such an insulting and pretty vulgar attack in front of everybody – even winning a kiss from her lady-love as a well-deserved reward !
Ah, Sarah, your awakening will be pretty painful and bitter, poor girl…
It’s such a vicious circle : the more she spoils things between Tina and her, the more she’ll hate Bette and so the more she’ll do bigger mistakes, again and again…
And that’s how final victory comes closer and closer of our one and only Bette Porter, since Tina just had a beautiful proof of the way her so-called ex deeply changed…

goldie, goldie, I just LOOOOOOOVED this chapter. Sarah must be totally out of her mind. First of all you don’t call yourself throughing down on someone else’s turff without back up. Surely she knows that they gang would back Bette up if need be. She was in a loose, loose situation here. If Bette kicks her but it would seem to be justifiable–loose. If she gets the best of Bette (NOT)and by some accident, Bette get badly hurt. Everyone INCLUDING Tina would rally to Bette’s side–loose, and the way Bette handled it–BIG lose. Then to top it all off Bette gets a kiss out of the whole deal, I have to disagree with you B&TForever, that would be a doulbe score for Bette….Bette 2 – Sarah 0 and sinking fast. Tina is officially on the hook and Bette is just reeling her in. I kind of hate to use all of this sport terminolgy, because I think where B&T are concerned it is more than just a silly game. Step aside Sarah because this is the real thing.

So, the name of the game is “Fucked Up”. Sarah seems to have taken it really to heart and got herself all “Fucked Up”. She has just jumped into the ditch that she herself dug.
Bette handled herself very well. Even though she was close to slugging Sarah, she managed to control herself. How, we may ask after all the drinking?! Bingo, Tina! Her love for Tina is so strong that even with the alcohol (and the disgusted look on Tina’s face), she knows clearly what she wants and that is to be together with Tina again. She can’t afford to F up again. Tina telling Bette that she was proud of her made her heart sing, and getting to kiss Tina was the added bonus and her reward…for now.
