The brown-haired woman closed her eyes again and enjoyed Tina’s hands in her hair and on her stomach, making her fall asleep. Tina smiled when she saw Bette visibly relax. She enjoyed just simply being close to Bette. She looked at the clock and saw it was 1AM. She sat Bette up, the brunette woke up but she wasn’t really awake, half sleeping Tina walked her to the bedroom and even got her undressed without Bette really waking up. She lay Bette under the covers and stroked Bette cheek before crawling in the bed on the other side. She spooned Bette from behind and rested her hand on Bette’s stomach before falling asleep.

Two Weeks Later…

Tina and Bette walked into The Planet. It was the first time in about two weeks that they went there. The past weeks they were busy dating, shopping for baby stuff and having sex that it wasn’t very easy to find time for their friends but now they finally found a little time. Hand in hand, they made their way to Alice, Dana and Shane sitting at the regular table.

“Hi guys.” Bette said and they sat down.

“Oh my god, they made it out of bed!” Alice said, mocking shock. Everyone chuckled.

“Actually Alice, my due date is in 6 weeks and I still needed some stuff so we have been shopping for two weeks and yes we also had some very nice dates but we really didn’t have a lot of time.” Bette said. Tina’s arm was draped around the back of Bette’s chair.

“So, you two are back together?” Dana asked.

“I think we are.” Tina said.

“Yeah, I think the same.” Bette told them. Tina gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“Cute…” Shane said. They both smiled. Kit walked over.

“Hello, you two, what do you two want to have this morning?” She asked. The girls ordered some breakfast and then chatted with their friends.

“Hey, Bette, I thought Helena said she would get you two fired within the week. Something happened?” Dana asked.

“No nothing, I’m still working at the CAC and Tina is still at Shaolin so…” Bette said.

“I actually didn’t want to fire you because I knew it would hurt your baby. I’m not heartless.” Helena said, standing behind Bette. The brown-haired woman clenched her jaw, stood up and faced the brunette.

“What are you doing here?” Bette asked.

“I just wanted to get some coffee and I couldn’t help but hear your conversation.” Helena said. She turned to Tina, who was looking at her. “How are you?” She asked.

“Better than I was with you.” Tina answered. Helena’s face looked a little shocked. Alice almost snorted but she could suppress it.

“You really want me to fire you and your girlfriend?” Helena asked.

“I don’t want it but I don’t think we can stop you so, go on.” Bette said, acting as if she didn’t care.

“I’m going to get my coffee and take care of all that immediately.” Helena said, turned around and walked to the counter.

“So, I think we’ll have to find another job…” Tina said, sitting down.

“I guess we do…” Bette said. “But we still have money.”

“Yeah.” Tina said.

“Let’s talk about something happier. I have arranged a baby shower!” Alice said

“When?” Bette asked.

“Saturday. It’s at Shane’s.” Alice answered.

“Isn’t a baby shower supposed to be in the house of the pregnant woman?” Dana asked.

“Yeah, but I just wanted to do it at Shane’s.” Alice said.

“Okay… who is coming?” Tina asked.

“We three will be there, Jenny, Carmen, Kit, Marc, Avila, Russell and their daughter, Rita. Not too many people, relax.” Alice said. Bette sighed and nodded.

“I think it’ll be fun.” Bette said. Tina raised one eyebrow but didn’t say anything. Must be the hormones, she thought.

They kept talking for the whole breakfast before they went to work, maybe for the last time.
