Still clueless, Bette wanted to know how she arrived at Dana’s, and why Mr. P was humping her. After a less than detailed explanation, Bette then inquired as to where Shane and Alice were. “Well, I’m only as good as the person I’m with,” she returned the flattery. Now Shane blushed, which for her was act almost unseen.

“Uhm, wow! Thanks!” Shane struggled for words. “I know I shouldn’t say this, but you’re someone I actually wouldn’t mind sticking around for the morning after,” Shane blurted out, before reaching for her pants.

“Damn!” Alice replied, not knowing what else to say. “Maybe it’s cause we’re already friends ya know,” Alice tried to rationalize. “Makes it easier to deal with right?” She rhetorically went on.
