By the time Tina woke, John had been at work for two hours. She made herself a cup of tea and sat down to read the morning paper. Continuing her morning routine Tina walked toward the door to leave. Turning back staring down the hall Tina couldnt help but feel so alone as she closed the door behind her.
Driving to work the brief chat she had with Bette Porter last night made her smile again. Since marrying John he always frowned on Tinas friends not liking any of them. Over time they all seemed to get the message which left her with just work friends or people that were Johns firemen buddies and their wives or girlfriends. Thinking to herself how nice this person seems to be. Meeting someone outside of the loop felt different. She felt that work did not have to be the topic of discussion with Bette Porter. It was nice to chat about other things for once.
Sitting in the court room Tina noticed Whit was in court today and hoped she wouldnt have to answer for the odd behavior at the Planet the other night. Tina wasnt sure herself what had happened. So she certainly wasnt about to try to explain it to Whit. Too late, Court adjourned for the day and Whit spotted Tina.
Whats up TK? Whit asked as she had a huge smile on her face again.
I’m doing just fine Whit. How are you? Tina said ignoring Whits grin.
Well another win, another bad guy going to jail. Works for me Whit said.
Oh how was the band the other night? You didnt miss too much of the show did you? Tina asked.
No actually I didnt miss that much and man they were great. I hate you couldnt stay to watch some of it with us. Whit said
They did sound pretty good from what I heard on the way out. Tina said.
Really. I didnt think you were paying attention to anything else that night. Whit said with a bigger grin.
What do you mean by that Whit? Tina asked
Oh nothing. Just the way you rushed out of there after bumping into Porter I just assumed

Great chapter. Cannot believe that John would be so complacent after he and Tina have worked so hard to have a child. Hmmm, maybe he’s doing more than just working late with friends. LOL. Bet John has a girlfriend Sorta sounds like it, Tina is pregnant and her husband doesnt know it. Sad Lets see how this friendship goes. thanks
