Turn About Is Fair Play – CH66

    Bette regroups
As much as Bette didnt want to admit it, Ivan did have a point and one that she shouldnt have ignored in her haste to get to Tina. Bette decided that she would have to go this one alone and work on wooing Tina her own way. Planning what to do would be the easy part; it was the actual execution that might be a little difficult because as much as Bette tried to downplay her feelings; her hormones were raging out of control. It was on that premise that Bette needed Ivan, but her own mistreatment of him, made true of Melvins statement about working on her personality. A point now well taken!

Upon arriving at home, Bette threw her bags down, went to the bathroom to shower and change. She ate dinner without the company of the TV or the radio. She needed some quiet time to calm her mind and her spirit. Much was riding on her ability to remain poised, focused, and very much on top of her game. The pending meet and greet with Rayne Bryant would be the major confidence boost that Bette needed to leave the CAC, start her own business, and also afford her the opportunity to have the life she wanted. Until her infidelity, Bette thought she had what she always wanted, a supportive and dutiful wife, a great career, a strong family/friend network, and all the comforts her salary could allow for. However, when the bough broke, it was then that she realized that what she thought was in tact wasnt. Tinas leaving forced Bette to see life in living color, not the tint shed put on it. No amount of impromptu *****, flirting with other women, or denial was going to provide the foundation shed rocked. Tina didnt need riches, fancy cars, or gifts. All she wanted was someone to love her for her and give her what she gave in return; virtually unconditional love. Could Bette get that back? Better question, did she deserve it?

    Tina assesses her day
I am soo glad to be home, Tina sighed as she kicked of her shoes and made her way to the bedroom. I dont know how people deal with that traffic everyday, she continued to herself while she undressed. I think Im going to love this job, but the traffic is gonna just kill me, Tina concluded and walked to the living room to raid the liquor cabinet.
