Turning Page
“We should…” Bette said taking a few steps towards her pointing to the door that led to the living room, where they could hear some laughter.
“Yeah… let’s…” It took Tina’s brain more than a couple of seconds to process and understand Bette’s words and actions but she was eventually able to at least stumble with her words, which all in all was quite normal around Bette these days.
“Hey Bette, you’ll never guess what” Dana cheerfully greeted her coworker and the brunette just looked at her already knowing what this was about.
“Alright, why the hell not?” Bette simply said and once again Dana was perplexed at the capacity her friend had to read her like a children’s book.
“You know… I just…” Wish you could read other people in this room like you can read me… what a waste! But of course Dana didn’t say that last part of her thought if she indeed wanted her friend to do what they were about to do and not kill her instead.
“You just what?” Bette asked.
“I just cannot believe you’ve agreed to this without certain level of coercion”
“I don’t particularly know why but I felt like playing since I first saw that piano today” Bette finally admitted since concealing her feelings from her friend would be something quite hard to achieve, especially when it came to this particular subject.
Oh I have a pretty, and blonde, good idea as to why you’re feeling like playing… I’m just sorry I cannot explain it to you just yet… Dana thought but her face showed no hints of what her brain was telling her.
“Wait, we’re gonna play?” Shane asked in disbelief as her two friends were clearly heading towards the corner of the room where the piano and three acoustic guitars were placed. This hasn’t happened in years…
“This is so awesome” Alice exclaimed as she too got up and followed the two agents.
“Ok, so what do you want to hear?” Dana asked the audience once the three of them were finally settled with their respective instruments: Bette at the piano, and both Shane and Dana each with a guitar.
“Well what can you play?” Helena asked smiling.
“Actually Shane’s and mine repertoire is a bit more limited, Bette’s on the hand… let’s just say is not”
