Chapter 24

They just remained silent for a few minutes, both of them contemplating the facts and the consequences their actions would have. How to move forward, or in any direction for that matter, as long as they had the certainty that the situation wouldn’t get out of hand?

“I am so attracted to you” Tina broke the silence with that admission and Bette just took a deep breath; those words coming from that particular person were having an effect on her she hadn’t anticipated.

“Ditto” The brunette simply replied not able to say anything else at the moment, not because she didn’t want to, but because she literally couldn’t.

“It’s hard to explain for me… because…” Tina’s voice trailed off that moment, painfully conscious that she had to be extremely careful with her choice of words.

“You don’t have to explain anything to me” Bette interrupted her.

“But that’s the thing Bette, I really want to” Tina insisted and the agent realized that this was indeed something important for the blonde, so Bette detached her forehead from Tina’s and simply made eye contact, proving the lawyer that not only that she had her undivided attention, but that she also understood the seriousness of the situation.

“I’ve never felt like this before… you see I’m straight… I mean… I thought I was straight and now, well let’s just say I don’t think I am anymore” Tina resumed her speech, trying to explain to Bette that this wasn’t an experiment or some infatuation given the fact that Bette was basically there to protect her.

“Tina, it’s ok. However you may be feeling, it’s ok… you don’t have to make any life altering decisions right now, you’ll have time to figure out exactly what do you want and who you are” Regardless of the personal cost it may entail… Of course Bette didn’t say that past part of her phrase, for she didn’t want to pressure or push the blonde and even less scare her especially not when they still had so much time ahead of them.

Right at that moment Tina couldn’t restrain herself anymore so she just leant forward and kissed the irresistible agent again. This kiss was pretty similar to the previous one, but it seemed that each time their lips met the intensity escalated. It took them a while to break apart, since their lips were apparently getting very fond of one another. Tina couldn’t get past how familiar and comfortable and arousing Bette’s lips were for never in her life had she felt so at ease kissing another person. Bette, on the other hand, was experiencing something similar if not the same.
