    The talk before the game. Tina & Bette. Tina & Katie. Bette hates Katie or does she?

    AFter dinner

    Bette and Tina had a wonderful dinner. They cleared the table. Tina brought the deserts to the coffee table in the sitting area. Which has a couch and few other chairs. She poured two cups of coffee. Then they sat down again to enjoy deserts. Chatting some more. When they finished, Bette leaned back to a resting position on the couch and put her feet up. Looking at Tina she asked – Baby can I hold you? She held out her hands. Tina moved closer and sat in between Bette. Bette placed her hands on Tinas tummy. Tina leaned back. Bette rubbed her nose on Tinas neck and she started kissing her neck. Both of them getting aroused. Bette wanted more tonight and she was hoping Tina might be ready. She kissed her more urgently now.

    Tina moved a little making Bette stop. Bette thought Tina was feeling uncomfortable and is beginning to withdraw. She felt her heart sank. She stopped, not wanting to push any further. She knew that pushing ahead would only mean disaster. Disappointment washed over her. Tina sensing that Bette knew that she didnt want to proceed further turned a little to give Bette a kiss. She wants to reassure Bette. She moved, turning to face Bette. She put her hands on Bettes and their fingers intertwined. Tina touched Bettes face with her right hand. She traced her fingers on her lips She leaned in to kiss Bette and whispered in her ears

    T: Im glad youre here.
    B: I love being here with you T.

    Knowing that Alice and the gang will be there soon, she thought it might be a good idea to prepare Bette for whats ahead.

    T: can you promise to do something for me?

    B: You know I will, if its within my power to do so.
    Bette is beginning to worry where this conversation is leading. Her mind racing. Her heart beating fast. I hope I can fulfil what she needs from me.

    T: Can you promise to laugh and have fun when we play the games.

    Bette was relief. If its only about the game, I can play along. She so much wants to make Tina laugh too. She loves seeing Tina smiling. How she missed her spontaneous laughter.

    B: why? Is it going to be that bad? (teasing T.)

    T: no, its going to be fun. Just promise me that no matter what, you will keep your sense of humour. Ok? And remember its supposed to be fun.

    Bette is getting rather suspicious that Tina knows something shes not telling. Wondering what kind of sick game Alice had planned for her. Gosh, what have I got myself into now. Knowing Alice, she probably have some wicked fun in store for me.

    B: I promise Ill try.

    T: No, Bette. You have to promise or the game is off. I want you to laugh and have fun.

    B: Ok. I promise. Will you take care of me that I dont get hurt.

    T: (Laugh) It doesnt hurt. At least I think it wont. (Teasing) Im not sure about Alice but you know Katie would never do that. She loves you too much to hurt you. (Smiling)

    Tina hugged Bette. They held on to each other for a while.

    B: T, how are things going with Katie?
    T: Its been tough. Shes taking it very hard but shes strong and determine.

    Bette is very fond of Katie now BUT not in the beginning. When Bette first saw her with Tina she was very upset, suspicious, angry and jealous. Mostly she despised seeing Katie with Tina. She didnt know who she was and whats her name. Bette couldnt care less who she is. The first time she saw them together was when she went to the Planet to grab a coffee before work and she saw Tina holding Katies hands. The second time – same place – she saw Katie hugging Tina, full of emotions and whispering into Ts ears. She stormed out and called Alice immediately demanding Alice to tell her whats going on. Its either Bette has lousy timing or something is going on between those two. Alice didnt know who Bette was talking about. The third time was worst – She had gone over to Tinas new apartment. She hasnt seen Tina much and was missing her. Every time she called Ts busy, not in or just plain dont want to see her. She brought takeaway & a bottle of wine hoping to get to see and talk to Tina. Tina said it wasnt a good time but let her in after Bette literally begged her. Tinas room was partially closed. Tina was setting the table. Bette was looking around the new apartment when she saw some ones feet on Tinas bed. It wasnt moving, so the person must be asleep. She was so shocked she must have reacted. She panicked. Oh God no shes. Tina saw Bettes reaction and told her that Katie was just a friend. She has just flown back and was nearly hysterical in her sorrow. T didnt think it was a good idea for her to be on her own so she decided to bring Katie home so that she could look after her for a few days. Bette didnt know what was going on she didnt have the right to judge Tina after what she did. Things between her and Tina was still bad T has continued to shut Bette out of her life. But she had no choice but to trust Tina. She sure didnt like Katie staying there but she kept her opinion to her self.

    But all that changed once she got to know Katie. She will always be grateful to Katie for helping Tina through the difficult times. It was Katie who encouraged Tina to get involve at the Dream Centre. Getting involved at the Dream Centre has enabled Tina to slowly release some of those hurts and slowly heal. Katie was the one who pushed Tina to face her fears and talk to Bette.
